Max Drive Air Impact Wrench, 1/2 Inch,max torque 420Ft-lbs

I purchased this item for 1 job only. I had an older 2005 Ford Focus with less than 70K miles on it. I bought it new and it was a cream puff...never a single issue with it and not a scratch on it. One day after driving to a store it caught fire in the engine compartment...destroyed the car. Turns out a rat had built a nest in less than 2 weeks time ( the last time I had been under the hood ) and chewed through some wires, starting an electrical fire. It was a total loss. Try to find any car with 70K miles or less for under $3K and you're dreaming! I purchased another clean Focus, same year and color with 250K miles on it and a bad transmission...and old hard tires. The body was clean, but because of the mileage on it and the year and the fact that it had a bad transmission it was cheap. I planned on having the engine and tranny removed from my low mileage car and installed on my "new" one. I wanted to do the tire changeover myself and save some money, but at age 73 the thought of removing all 8 wheels and reinstalling them on opposite cars wasn't appealing to me! I had long since misplaced my old impact wrench and didn't want to spend a fortune on a new one. This was to serve one initial purpose and anything after that would be a plus. I wasn't thrilled with a unit that had little adjustment to it..only 2 different tighten settings and no reverse adjustment, but for lug nuts that's fine. I would be running it "full on" anyway. I just hoped that it would have enough torque to do the job and hopefully also last for a while in case I even needed to change another tire after this or do a brake job, etc. This little unit surprised me! It has good weight to it. I don't like featherweight tools that make extraordinary claims. When I hit the first lug nut with it I was shocked to see just how easily it broke it loose and removed it. I had all eight wheels done in less than 30 minutes. I hand checked the tightness with a standard lug wrench after installing them and it was quite difficult to break the freshly installed lug nut free. The unit did an excellent job, saved my back and lots of time which would have been spent cursing between wheels! This one job paid for the unit in my book and anything else that it does in the future is a bonus. Nice impact for the price!

Awesome impact never had an issue

Works great but the snap ring on the end of the anvil that holds the socket it on when using a nut runner will hit stuck on and break the snap ring and once broke will have sockets fall off countless time

For a lower price impact gun works well and gets the job done.

Power is not as advertised but good for the price

4 settings. Easy to read switches. Snatches lugnuts right off. Even use it on my spiral Jack for a 3500 full size van. Not bad. The socket drive is tough but good thing about that is it doesn't fall off.
