I figured I’d buy special paper because it dissolves and it would be “magic” for when he was done reading. Well I should have tried One before I gave him the letter because he was so excited after his lie of a letter and said “mom we need water Santa says there’s a surprise” ....we ended just sitting there watching this letter sit and get wet in water. It didn’t dissolve so I started scrunching it up with my hand in the water in hopes it would hurry the process along but there were still big chunks just floating on water. My son asked if that was the magic and I said well maybe it just needs time. He went into the other room and I dumped the contents down the sink and replaced it with clear non clumpy paper water, he eventually noticed that night it was “gone” and he thought it was cool. So the point of this review is if your buying the heavyweight dissolving paper for magic purposes this does not work maybe the lighter weight papers might be more instant. But if your buying this paper to be more conscious of the earth, Yadda, yadda, yadda then I’m sure it would eventually decompose in the water far quicker than regular paper and this is what you are looking for.
