Heated Lightweight Soft Shell Jacket DEWALT Heated Lightweight Soft Shell Jacket Kit

I bought this for my husband who is a commercial electrician and has to work outside during the beginning stages of jobs. He is very cold natured so when the jobs are outside in the winter it’s pretty miserable for him. Not any more with this coat. Even during freezing temps he says the coat is so warm on its own he doesn’t need the heating element. He really loves this coat and highly recommends it. There are also multiple locations to place the battery so that you can find what is most comfortable for you. He says it also has a good range of motion in the arms.

My boyfriend loves this jacket. He has owed other brands but seeing how he is a DEWALT man this only made sense after other brand failed. Such better quality and heat

WOW mure than my Husband expected. He Loves his Coat and all The Warmth, the settings, the battery is great easy to adjust. He says Best Cost ever.He works outside in Cold Michigan weather.

It's a great jacket if it could do the thing it's supposed to do! The jacket is not warm on the hottest setting for 10 minutes. While testing it managed to destroy Three genuine DeWalt 20V battery packs! I'm returning this Chinese Junk.

Bought for my husband. He loves dewalt. It keeps the wind out like it says. It doesn't take long to heat up and keeps you warm.

I have been wearing XL for many years so it just seemed logical to purchase my new jacket in an XL. When I tried it on, it feels more like a 2X or 3X. It is quite large in the body, and the sleeves hang past my thumb. Aside from sizing issues, the jacket is nicely made, With a few issues: Pros: •Very nice tight fabric (would likely do quite well in wind) •Two different options for where to plug-in battery •Lots of pockets Cons: •The power button is inside and default to medium heat after preheat. This means that on a very cold day, you would have to open the jacket after five minutes to switch it to high temp. •The loop for hanging is not sewn through all layers, it is only connected to the inside. I doubt it will last. •The battery pockets are very tight for anything larger than a 2AH battery •The Velcro for adjusting the wrist is too short and does not allow you to close it tight over an average wrist.

The jacket seems decent, but sadly I wasn't able to test it. It worked for about 20 minutes, quite and never came back. I tried multiple batteries of varying capacities, move the battery to not use the extension cord, and really that's all you can do to trouble shoot. I ended up sending it back. Other then that, I wasn't crazy about the fit, it was short and wide in the body and there are no shoulder seems so it looks a bit funny.

This is a replacement for as an identical one I purchased about 10 years ago, when it finally wore out. I really like it and have used it every winter. I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada and it can get to -30 to -40 degrees below in the winter. With the battery pack plugged in, you can laugh at the cold. The switch cycles between different levels of heating, lights up inside so you know it’s on, the switch changes colour to let you know your level of heating, and the jacket and electrical connections are well made. The jacket is comfortable, light-weight, good for cooler fall wear ( when you don’t need the battery), and has a useful arrangement of zippered pockets. There is a special pouch for the battery. The fabric is tough. I don’t do outside construction work, but for walking around outside, sitting in a freezing car or sports stadium, and having the versatility of a jacket that is good for fall to the coldest winter, this jacket has worked well for me.

Works great. Nice and warm took a while to get it but it was worth the wait.

First jacket was broken out of the box. Called DeWalt and they told me they would not replace and a company called Radians would replace it. Turns out Radians are the ones who make the jackets and DeWalt just puts their name on it. Also very shady that DeWalt would not replace it. Radians wanted me to pay for return international shipping so I just processed an amazon return. The new jacket doesn't even get that warm so its hardly worth the money. Also DeWalt lied to me and told me their "special team" would reach out to me. They never did. I sent several e-mails to DeWalt and they gave me the run around every time. They asked me for my proof of purchase so I sent it to them and they lied again several times saying they never received it. Not only did I sent it as an attachment numerous times I also included a DropBox link so I know they have the proof of purchase. DeWalt just ignored my e-mails after that. I left a negative review on the DeWalt web site and they replied saying a member of their "special team from Radians" would reach out to me. Radians never did. What started as a simple jacket not working that needed replaced turned into DeWalt losing a valuable customer for life. Based on the way I was treated, lied to, ignored etc.... out of principal I refuse to ever purchase another DeWalt product ever again.
