Splicing Wand - Medium

Let's say you want to put an eye splice in some high-tech line so you can get your project done and go about your business. And you pull out the great youtube video or written description of the splice from your favorite line maker, you get about five steps in, just about where you have to cross one part of the line with the other part of the line and you realize that you can't do it, you spend a bunch of time and effort, lots of cursing, maybe some blood, definitely tears, you rip up the instructions, you write a nasty comment on the youtube video and you go call your local rigger to do the job next week, and you forget about getting your project done today.That's one scenario. One that I was certainly familiar with. But there's a better way. You can learn to use the "Splicing Wand" This amazing device, it slices, it dices . . . oh wait, actually it doesn't do any of those things. What it does do, it makes you able to get over that tough crossover part of your splice, finish your splice like you are a hero, get you going on the rest of your project, save you money and make you feel great. The endorphin rush alone, when you finish you perfect splice without any tears and swearing, will be enough to pay for this tool 10x over.So how does it work? You pull inside of push. Pushing rope can be really tough. I think there's even a saying "like pushing rope" yet that's how most splices are taught. So, let's say you need to get the core of your high-tech splice inside the cover and over another part of the high-tech core, you simply insert the wand where you want the core to come out, you exist the tip of the wand where you want the core to go in, you grab the core in the snare, you pull the whole thing through, and you're done! Try doing that with an ordinary fid. Well, if you can do it, you're a far better person than me, but I'll just use the splicing wand and be very very happy.If any of this makes any sense to you, then you get that I highly recommend this wonderful, well-built and easy to use tool, just take the time to learn to use it.
