ObozMen's Bridger Low B-Dry Waterproof Hiking Shoe

Nice fit -
I bought these to replace a pair of Oboz that I wore out and I like these even better. I got the wide version because I have a really high arch and the wides give me more room and the top of my feet don’t go numb. Very comfortable, light break in period (at least for me), and the waterproofing has been solid so far. Would buy these again.

These are the best shoes I have ever owned
I've always been tough on shoes, and have purchased other premium brands in the past. After three or four months they usually start to split at the seams on the sides. Even expensive shoes. I've spent $140, $160, and $200 on shoes before and they still wouldn't last all that long. Also I needed waterproof shoes since I walk my dog 800 miles a year in a rainy climate where it rains all the time. Even the most expensive shoes I've purchased previously would start losing their waterproofing abilities before six months. My current pair of Oboz shoes are going on over a year and a half now, with no side seam splitting and they still keep my feet dry. But nothing lasts forever, they are looking pretty tattered and dirty and they stay wet on the outside, but not on the inside, if that makes sense. I'll clean them and spray them again and keep wearing wearing them every day like I have been at my construction job. But I just now ordered a brand new pair! They'll be my going out on the town shoes. Yes, I should mention that these look great as well. So for durability, waterproofing, comfort and reasonable break it time (the soles will feel a little hard at first and need to break in) I highly recommend these Oboz shoes. I think these will by my fourth pair, so I finally think that I owe them a good review.

Highest quality
A beautifully solidly made shoe. Extremely comfortable from the moment I put it on. It's worth every penny

Shoes are rugged and comfortable.
This is my third pair of these shoes. I wear them everywhere.

Comfortable right out of the box
My second pair of this exact model shoe. I love them. Very durable and comfortable right out of the box…virtually zero break-in period. If they still make them, I will buy a third pair when these eventually wear out.

I love these shoes
This is my third pair of Oboz. They wear like iron. The reason I got my first pair was because the soles release dirt and mud really well. There are no little holes to hold dirt.I don't like the way they state the width designation to 'whatever' ie nothing versus a W. With no explanation. I'm thinking the 'nothing' designation is somewhere around a C or Medium width. They are a bit tight in the box and I should probably have gotten a W.

Good stiff, light hiker
I have always worn heavy hiking boots with steel shanks. They provided great support and protection for the hikes I used to do. However, I don't do those hikes anymore and needed something that was lighter but would still provide good support for my feet. I saw the description and reviews for these Oboz Bridger Low boots and took a chance. The first impression was that these things are stiff. I mean, really stiff. They felt more like road cycling shoes than hikers and I hoped they'd loosen up a little. After the first day the foot insole molded to my feet and they loosened up a little. After about 10 or 15 miles of use, they're still a little stiff but not so much that you can't use them as daily shoes. I've used them in the office and on dirt and road walks and they're working fine. The cleats/outsoles are pretty rugged and, in my opinion, relegate them more to trails and hikes versus daily wearing on concrete. If you're looking for something to wear around the office or wear on hard surfaces, there are probably better choices. With that said, I am using them daily. The toe box width is good and gives me lots of room to move. I can't attest to their waterproof ability. They're low hikers so regardless, if you're out on the trail, water will likely seep in from the ankles. That's not a knock on these Oboz but is just a reality to the type of boot it is. I wear an 11 and these fit fine but there's not a lot of extra room. I won't wear thick socks with these...they're summer hikers. Wearing mid-weight hiking socks was ok. Again, the 11s fit almost perfectly but don't leave a lot of extra room for thick socks. Regular crew socks just about fill these out without getting tight. The heels fit fine and don't slip. I have high arches and these feel fine. I have little foot fatigue when worn on long walks/hikes of 6 or 7 miles (so far) whereas other shoes will leave my feet tired. I got the Dark Shadow and my wife says they look good so they get style points. They're not cheap but, if they hold up, they are a really good option for the person looking for a stiff, light hiker.

These were very painful for me.
These shoes were very painful on my feet most of the pain was directed on my big toe on both knuckles on the big toe of each foot, I only walked about 1000 feet on a sidewalk, my feet started to hurt so bad that I had to walk back barefoot, it's really unfortunate because these shoes look very well made. I very much like the style and the fact that they were water proof, but they are so stiff and rigid they were virtually impossible for me to walk in and they did seem like they were made to break in enough to ever be comfortable enough . I've never had any problems with my feet wearing sturdy motorcycle boots or ski boots, I gave these boots a 3 star because because they definitely won't work for me , now that's not saying they won't work very well for someone else? But since they caused such severe pain on the knuckles joints of my big toes that I couldn't even walk a 1000 feet in them and also after I took the shoes off my foot hurt for a couple of hours, so there's no way I could ever wear them long enough to break them in since I couldn't even walk 10 minutes in them. Like I said these shoes are made very well, but my feet need a shoe that's way more flexible, if anyone knows who makes very well made hiking shoes that are more flexible and comfortable that's what I'm looking for, since I'll have to send these back.

Excellent well made shoe
These are tough well made, wide-fit shoes, with a great hard-wearing sole. I use them for day-to-day dog walking. They're very stiff but with thick socks, I find them comfortable. Great price for a quality hard-wearing shoe. I bought them to replace my Mendl shoes which fell apart after a few months of use.

Fit and durability
I love Oboz. If you have wide feet, Oboz is the shoe for you ( Keen is good too). I do like the sole a bit better on the Oboz, and I do think they last a bit longer.

Great light weight boots
I’ve been wearing Oboz boots for about 4 years now and find them perfect for my active urban lifestyle. I regularly walk more than 10000 steps daily in both commuting to work and urban hiking. These boots give great support and traction and are great winter boots. I get about 1 year per pair and these are living up to my expectations.

Very comfortable shoes
A very nice shoe they fit me perfectly and also comfortable, more so than my Merrell shoes which I usually buy, so yes I am very pleased with my purchase.
