SAVOIE'S® Gluten Free Instant Roux

I used this gluten free roux in my gumbo and. Use it for gravy, stews or anything that needs a roux for thickening. It is easy to use and taste fine.

This is a great gf roux, tastes wonderful in gumbo and soups!

I bought this for my mom who has celiacs disease and was missing gumbo so much! Being from the Louisiana area was a staple in our home at least once a week, so she was really missing it! This allowed her to be able to have her one of her favorite foods back and tasted so good that even others were eating it instead of the regular one!

This product is a good alternative to a traditional roux. I found it requires a good bit more to come up to the rich flavor provided by the standard flour base, I used stock instead of water and upped my seasoning content to compensate. Did not get as thick as traditional roux but over all great for those who must watch their glutton intake.

The media could not be loaded. Fantastic gluten free roux! Makes wonderful crawfish etouffee. I recommend this to all GF cajun cooks!
