I have never been the one to be able to learn how to French braid and I never wanted to learn until my daughter was starting kindergarten. I knew I was gonna have to do her hair all kinds of different ways for the school year and French braiding is a common hair dew and for most people comes easy. Just not me. So I immediately started looking for French braiding tools. I tried actually learning French braiding watching videos and it was a total failure and then I tried the foam fork looking French braider and it was a fail also and then I decided to try this and it sat in my daughters drawer after I bought it for 2 weeks and one morning before school I decided to try it and if you look at the picture I posted to this review I have to say that for this being my first try with this at French braiding tool and right when my daughter was getting ready for school in the morning that this is a great French braid. Its quite durable and didn’t break and stayed perfect in her hair all day of course with some hair products. But I know for a fact with a little practice with this I will have it mastered. But the fact that I just took it out the wrapping pulled a little hair from the top front of my daughters head and placed this on the back and just started grabbing hair from each side back and forth WITHOUT even looking at any directions ( it just came as common sense to me I guess on how it should be used) is just AMAZING! I strongly and highly recommend this to anyone wanting to be able to do a French braid. Now note that I have NOT tried this on myself so I assume that is a whole other story. Probably wayyyy harder… lol. But for doing it on someone else, it’s not bad at all. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I bought these to do my daughters hair for a wedding. After multiple failed attempts to even get it to clip into the hair to get started, it was absolutely impossible to do it without the tool showing through the hair. I finally gave up and threw it in the trashcan, and did a soft French braid alone. French braids are easy. And you can find many tutorials on YouTube to show you how to do it. Don’t waste your time or your money on this product.

It’s a good tool to have, but I’m not handy enough to use it!

These work decently, I haven't had much issue. Not too much of an issue but at first was a little tricky.
