Jaxx Alon Daybed | Fold-Out Sleeper | Queen-Size Mattress - Ice

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this. Thank you to the delivery person, because it was a heavy package (roughly 80lbs, one box). It was very well packaged inside with everything clearly labeled. It was easy to put together as a single person; I didn't have trouble getting the cushions in the covers. Press down on the foam-- if you've zipped an overpacked suitcase you won't have any issues. It has been very comfortable to sit and nap on in twin mode, though it is firm. I haven't slept on it down yet and will update if needed. I did order a mattress to put over as I believe it will be necessary. It is a bit expensive for me, but I couldn't find a better option that could function as seating and also give me the space for couples and individuals to visit, especially my siblings who are all over 6 ft tall, for less.

Before you listen to the naysayers that think it's overpriced, consider what the design and your use of it will be.I ordered the pinot color and i love the bed. I do a lot of upholstery and this fabric is beautiful and wears beautifully. I agree that a mattress topper is helpful to soften it and holds the two sides together.The design of the bed is very simple but it's so much more comfortable than any of the alternatives. The one exception might be the cabinet style sideways murphy beds with a queen mattress but they are 3500 dollars!Those that conclude that because it's simple, it should be cheap haven't shopped for wood, bun feet, fabric or upholstery services recently. The fabric quality is excellent. Expect to pay 40 dollars a yard to maych it. Hiring a seamstress to sew two large custom zippered covers is very pricey!I know because I'm making one just like it as my other space is too short for this daybed. It's going to be 2/3 of the price and I'm doing everything but the sewing myself!The one caveat for me is that for my older guests it's pretty low to the floor. I wouldn't expect my 95 year old parents to appreciate the height but everyone else has found it very comfortable.Enjoy it!

This is so much nicer than I expected! It was super easy to put together and you can’t even tell that I did it myself.It’s firm and comfortable, and the chenille is really soft.I ended up getting the Jaxx chenille Ice color from Amazon, rather than the boucle version on Wayfair. Amazon‘s version was less expensive and shipped right away from Amazon itself. Plus, chenille is coming back in style and boucle is on its way out.I chose this for multi functionality, especially that it opens to queen-size bed. As a bed, I will add a foam topper.I am still figuring out how to sit on it as a chaise, I am thinking I’ll add another small foam triangle pillow.I have this paired with a long queen headboard sized triangle pillow that I also got from Amazon, and the boucle pillow is from H&M.

The daybed is very uncomfortable to sit on it, didn't try to sleep but it is very hard, will definitely need an extra toping. Also, if you decide to return, it will notbe easy. I got only 80% back

This solves the dilema of a single bed needed for a small room, that transforms into a queen bed. The covering is a very nice polyester velveteen and the charcoal is a great color. My only criticism is that top foam mattress is much more comportable that the bottom mattress. The guest who slept on the lower mattress woke up with a sore shoulder.

I looked a really long time for guest bed options in a small room that would be suitable for a tall adult. I considered a Murphy bed, two side-by-side full beds, and many, many other fold-out sofa bed/couch options. This one is perfect. Easy to assemble. Firm mattress. A mattress topper will be required to keep the gap closed between the two cushions. Overall, I am beyond pleased!!!

Liked how easy it was to put together and looks great. It’s super hard/firm. Needs a thick topper and who has space for that?

I received this daybed 3 days after I ordered. It was very easy to assemble. I did need help zipping both covers, they are extremely tight. This is very firm, which I like, I may have to use a topper when using as a bed, because you can feel the seam between the two. I also wish the store would offer additional bolster pillows. I would like a second one to place at end.
