Finally!
We've waited years to find a pump that is specifically designed for a cistern. Great product, hoping for many years of use without problems!

Nearly the same price as replacing my failed start/run capacitor.
I'm running a 220V, 1/2hp submersible hung at 110' putting out ~10gpm for yard irrigation. The start/run capacitor blew out when I started up the well this spring. I looked into replacing just the capacitor, but that 1 part (with shipping) was nearly the same price as this new controller. This turned out to be a direct replacement for my 30 year old pump controller but my pump is so old I couldn't cross reference it. The winding resistances on the pump were within the tolerances of this controller so i decided to give it a try. Close in size, too. Has better wiring terminals making the replacement straight forward. Switched on the breaker and got cold clear water again. Hopefully I'll get 30 years out of this one, too.

Not same brand as pictured but...
I bought this as a spare to keep on my service truck until the Franklin control boxes that I ordered came in from my distributor. As it turned out they arrived about the same time. It came from MaxWarehouse and was not Flotec but was the parts2o brand as another review noted. It has the same part number as Flotec, and the customer service phone number on the parts2o label is Flotec’s phone number. I’ve installed this brand once in the past and it worked ok, but I later replaced it with a Franklin so I could sleep at night. I usually use Franklin or Grundfos parts and I know I can trust them to last many years. Flotec and parts2o are probably ok but they don’t have the history or reputation of Franklin and Grundfos.

Bait & Switch?
Product description says "Country of Manufacture: -United States". Wrong. Box says "Made in Mexico". Product description says this is a Flotec brand...wrong again. Is labeled as "Parts2O". Item doesn't match picture advertising this item. Is this a knock-off or counterfeit part? I don't know. But I don't have confidence in this item. All I know is the product description and the product don't match. I installed it anyway because I needed this to get my well pump working again. It is working. But I don't know for how long. The parts in these control boxes are supposed to match the impedance of the pump windings otherwise early failure of pump is experienced. I'm going to try to find an OEM part locally because I can't trust this site to deliver the correct item ordered and will replace this once I get the correct part. This will become an emergency spare. Photos attached.

240V control box
Did not need this control box. I ordered all the well pump components at the same time. I bought a 120V system, and later found out I only need a control box for 240V system.

Excellent Control Box at a good price.
My deep well pump started failing last spring, I researched a new pump at a lot ofwork, and money. The pump would work sometimes, sometimes not.I replaced the pressure switch in the house for the system with no major help. I thenreplaced the air bladder tank (which it needed badly) but it did not resolve the issue.I was convinced that I needed to shell out $1000 plus for a new deep well pump. Then, while outside, I heard a clicking in a box on the power pole. It turned out to bethe control box for the pump. 50' away from the well head! I had assumed the controlwas on the pump.I ordered the Flotec FP217-810 for like $40 with free shipping. One half hour after Ireceived the unit, problem solved!!It's been a bit over 7 months, and the system runs great.
