True Union Ball Valve Water Pump Socket with Extra End Connector, 3/4-Inch

I bought 3 of these for my aquarium plumbing with the intention to use them to control the water flow for the reactors. However after my initial leak test all 3 ball valves leaked when the valves were not in the "fully closed" or "fully opened" position. At first I thought I didn't tight them tight enough but after several re-assembly adjustments the leak still occurred. I finally I decided to take the whole ball valve apart - I mean by taking the whole internal of the valve apart - that was when I discovered the o-ring inside the ball vale was too thin to withhold the slight water pressure of the Vectra M1 pump. Lucky for me I had several unused 3/4" union fittings with the same o-ring size but thicker. I replaced all of them and now there is no more leak.I recommend buyers to think twice before buying these union ball valves. I don't want you all to go through what I had gone through. The material quality seems very decent however.

So far so good, quality looks nice and it has been installed for a few weeks now without issue. We will see in 3-5 years which is when the cheaper lowes/home depot ones seemed to have handles snap and leak. I bought two so if something does go wrong at least it will be easy swap out this time.

I'm using these valves for my reef tanks salt water mixing station. So far the are working great. Easy to operate and no leaks.
