Works, deep tone on a V8
Bought this to take the place of a factory resonator which rusted out and started to leak. This fit perfectly in its place. The tone of the exhaust is deeper, with a slight increase in noise over stock, however I still have the oem muffler in place. The Thrush muffler cut out the rasp that I was getting when I had a straight pipe in as a temp fix. This is much better. Hoping the packing will last for several years. Note that your results may vary, a shorter glasspack will be louder, and have a raspier tone than a longer one.

Believe it or not, it is quieter than open headers!
Bought to replace the improperly installed Flowmaster on my wife's 6cyl Ford Ranger. Replaced it with this and a standard design exhaust pipe, and while it still has the deep tone, it is not as obnoxious driving around. This lowered the volume a few DB and by adding back the tailpipe, moved that sound to the back of the truck. 95% of the flow of an open header and only 80% of the volume (I'm making those numbers up, but that's what my ears are telling me, so I'll just keep believing it.)NOTE: here is the secret to a great tone boys and girls - the longer the better! I purposely bought the longest glasspack that would fit in the system. The longer the pack, the lower the note. Look at musical instruments - the longer the pipe, the lower the note. A glass pack has the same amount of restriction, regardless of length - diameter and bends are restrictions.YMMV

Love the low grumble and bubbling!! Very vintage sound and perfect volume.
The media could not be loaded. Has a great low growl to it and the bubbling is amazing! I love the vintage sound, it’s almost as loud as my 1979 Camaro!! The volume is perfect and not loud enough to disturb the neighbors, but just loud enough to have some fun!

Smooths out the exhaust sound
The media could not be loaded. Heat started flaking and peeling the paint of the ends but sounds great on my 2010 fusion sport

Sounds sick
Bought for my Chevy 350 small block, definitely quieter than straight pipe for sure. Nice clean crisp sound no raspiness, fit perfectly to what the measurements were. The red coating is very thick and seems like it’ll last awhile

Straight forward install for me
So, I bought these to shut my truck up. I have a 94 Bronco that was previously straight piped and while I loved the sound back in "my day" it was simply too obnoxious sounding as I grew out of the "I want the loudest exhaust possible" phase. This fit the bill, maybe just a little too well as my truck is quite quiet now but still have a nice note at start up and at WOT. If you're looking for an aggressive sound you might want to keep your eyes peeled as you may be slightly disappointed, but for $25 bucks, who's complaining? I didn't weld these on and I suggest that you don't either until you're positive you like them. I just bought some exhaust clamps and an exhaust adapter pipe and clamped them right on, making sure nothing is going to go anywhere AND copper anti seizing the threads so that they can go somewhere IF i want them to later on down the road.
