Extra Fine Honing and Polishing Compound

This jar of honing compound goes on a leather stop, whether on a barber strop, or a leather stopglued to a wooden paddle very smooth and even. The block style needs to be softened with heat toeven begin to compare to this cream style. The price is a little more stiff than the block style, but allin all it's worth it. I certainly have NO problem with this product. If you do a lot of knife sharpening,buy it, you'll be satisfied...

I’m a woodcarver, and the thing I hate most is a dull knife. Using a dull knife while carving is very dangerous. All of the times I’ve cut my hands while woodcarving have been because I was trying to continue my carving project while using a knife who’s blade had lost its razor-sharp edge and needed to be stropped and honed back to its “scary-sharp” condition again. That being the case, I really love this purchase that I found online. The Green Very-Fine Compound is perfect for recreating the razor-sharp blades on knives. The green compound has about the consistency of a freshly opened little can of shoe polish and it adheres to the strop leather very quickly and you can easily control how much or how little you prefer to use on your stropleather.. There’s enough green compound in the container to last you well over a year or more, depending how much you typically use per application. I’m really glad I bought this compound.

A very fine polish that does well before the final buff and polish. Used on my hand gun to polish my stainless steel.

Easy to apply and works well

This polishing compound has just the right amount of grit to bring back the wire edge on a blade and help it stay sharp.

Not much to tell you. The product is in a nice little 'tub' so it's easy to work with. I use it to deburr knives and this stuff works great!

Comes in a nice re-seal container, compound is already mixed with oil so is easy to apply to strop, appears to be appx. 1 micron and works well after a 3000 grit waterstone

The compound itself is a quality blend and hones our knives as it should.I have a sharpening business, so I will move thru this small jar pretty quickly.The compound was dry and somewhat flaky. I expected it to be at least a little moist.Nope.
