I love spicy food, and particularly turmeric-intensive curries. I like the earthy taste of turmeric, and Rani provides a huge container (16 ounces is a lot of turmeric) at a very reasonable price. I have used many brands of turmeric and really enjoy the balanced taste of Rani. I use it in all sorts of dishes from soups to seafood and have never failed to enjoy it. It is a powerful spice, so if you are not experienced with it add a little at a time until you have the spice level exactly where you want it. I also use turmeric every day as an anti-inflammatory: I find it to be as beneficial for joint pain as using over the counter drugs; for that purpose the Rani provides an excellent value while keeping the curcumin quotient up.I think Rani turmeric is a very good product at a great price making it an excellent value whether you are strictly using it for flavoring or are using it as for anti-inflammatory purposes. I would definitely buy Rani again.

A lot

The product was a consistent fine grind. It was powder without clumping. Better than expected.

Good value and smells very fresh.

It arrived top-sealed in a plastic jar, with an additional seal under the lid. The taste is clean. Rani claims 3% or slightly more curcumin, which I accept based on the history of the brand. I take 3/4 teaspoon twice a day with 1/3 tsp ginger, 1/3 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp of pepper, mixed into a quarter cup of cold water. It mixes quickly and completely and goes down nicely. I bought it to relieve prostatitis which it did, and it also has made years of aches and pains less intense. I recommend Rani Premium Export Quality Turmeric based on quality and on value @ ~$15/2lbs.

This is root powder turmeric, not whole turmeric powder, which makes a much higher quality turmeric than most store bought products. I ordered the 2.27kg jar, as we go through a lot of it. The turmeric arrived, with extra padding, and an expiry date of more than 2 years. This turmeric has a really good taste, and I highly recommend it.

Proper stuff

There was additional color added to these turmeric roots. Would not recommend buying.
