There is a reason why this item is a classic and has been available for as long as I can remember. The eraser erases cleanly and the entire eraser lasts forever. I love this product because it works well and I can pick one of these up at an affordable price. The best part is how easy this item is to transport from home to work. Portable and lightweight. Highly recommended!

This kind of weirdo. I'm a crossword puzzle fool. I like the spiral-bound NY Times Wednesday (middle of the road) level books. This eraser doesn't smudge, works well, and lasts forever. It's a solid tool for a serious (*cough*) professional.

I received this item today. While it works as intended, it came in NO PACKAGING AT ALL, just a shipping envelope. If I ever buy another one I'll make sure not to buy from the seller who sold this item on Amazon.

These things are great, not because I use them with the device itself but I use the eraser to refull my Sumo Grip pencil, it's the perfect fit and just requires you to size up the eraser you stick in. The eraser does what it needs to with no smudging and doesn't easily damage the paper.

I use the Pentel Twist-Erase mechanical pencils for everyday, but I use a LOT of those little erasers so I thought I would keep one of these guys on hand for spot erasing. Pros: Nice and compact. Fits into a pencil slot in a backpack. Erases well. Cons: Has a tendency to "click" backwards when I am erasing hard. Doesn't erase large areas as quickly as a rectangular eraser. If you're the kind of person who has a specialty tool for everything, then keep one of these in your pack but also get some of the "Hi-Polymer" erasers and keep one of each. If you have to erase a half page proof during a timed final, you'll want the larger coverage area of a big eraser. If you just need to erase small mistakes, you will be happy with how easy it is to jump in and get rid of that bogus coefficient with the Clic Retractable. Every minute counts, so be prepared to erase efficiently!

My favorite mechanical pencils tend to have a tiny scrap of eraser lodged in the top of the mechanism, best saved for emergencies. I've had several of these Clic Erasers for a number of years, I'm down to only one now, all the rest were either lost or stolen. These things don't break, at least in my experience. Totally reliable, as well. Push the clip down one notch and more eraser protrudes from the end. Pretty simple.

I had one of these for years but it has nearly run out of rubber. I thought that I would try another brand but was disappointed with it (and gave it to my wife) and bought another Pentel. It is as good as my old one. So why use a pencil-style eraser and why is this the best? Basically, it is just like using a pencil, except that you are removing graphite, rather than adding it. So if you are sketching, for example, you can work in fairly fine detail and, by only exposing a small amount of rubber, it stays rigid, even though the material is normally, well, rubbery. It is difficult to convey why this one is better except to say that it 'feels right' and it does what it is supposed to do. (The competitive product either pushed too much rubber out or the rubber disappeared into the pencil when pressure was applied.) One last thought-I considered buying a refill rather than a new eraser but dismissed the idea. I'm pleased that I did because the old one is still usable and I keep it in another box. So, if you find that you use it quite a lot, consider buying another one as a spare.

I love this pencil-style eraser as you can be more precise when erasing. It has a rubberised grip which makes it comfortable to hold and the notched slider ensures that keeps the eraser sturdily inside the barrel when rubbing out. The eraser is excellent has it does not wear/tear the paper and does not smudge. Highly recommended.
