In the past, when I've worked at standing desks, they were in a workplace setting, so I was always wearing supportive shoes. When I stand in place for hours at home, barefoot, I begin to feel it in my feet by the end of the day.I got these flip flops to try and blend the two situations. They work! It was suggested that I not go barefoot, even in the house, but to get some flip flops with arch support. These just came in today and I couldn't be more pleased. They are well made and very true to size. If you don't normally wear arch support they do take a little getting used to, but hey, that means they're doing their job... you hear that feet!Update: Shoes are still great, however, they seem to be coated in something like silicone, probably for transport and storage. Not a problem for most, but I only wear them indoors, and walking back and forth on the kitchen floor has made both my feet and the floor SUPER slippery. I just threw them in the washer and scrubbed the floors. My parents are older and we don't need a broken hip here, so we don't. I hope that works. Update again later after they've air dried. The sole is very narrow and foot will hang off at the sides. Great for very narrow feet the long stramp is thin, uncomfortable and itchy because of texture. The thong strap is thin.
