I had read other reviews and still took a chance, but mine also arrived damaged. This game is made from wood and a composite material that I can't remember the name for at the moment...it isn't particle board, but is similar to a "cardboard" except it is composed of tiny wood particles. The point is that it is thin and easily punctured (but certainly durable enough for years of play if it makes it to your house intact!.) The game arrives folded in its same-sized shipping box with no additional wrapping, so any damage to the outer box very easily results in damage to the game itself. Mine arrived with a tear in the shipping box (a piece of tape had been placed over it) but when I opened the game, it had a hole punched through the game board in the same spot. The game itself is well built and loads of fun! But after seeing how it was shipped, I am certain you are just as likely to receive the game damaged as not. Just be aware. I plan to get a replacement.UPDATE: Amazon replaced the game damaged in shipping VERY quickly (3 days) and the second one arrived in perfect condition. We're having a great time with it! I realize it is designed for easy travel and that's a great feature, but I would love to also have a larger version (with balls more similar to the size of skee ball). It seems like the design could rather easily be upsized but I'm not qualified to build it. Hope someone does!
