Hat fits as expected, decent quality, very light weight. However, if you are between sizes be sure and order a larger hat size and order inserts for a custom fit.***** Warning about CUSTOMER SERVICE ****My hat arrived in perfect shape in excellent packaged box.. However, it was missing the toggle for the chin cord. Called and left messages, e-mails..... NO RESPONSE...... Maybe they are temporally overwhelmed but no response at all is a let down. I purchased the hat directly from villagehatshop.comEnjoy the hat and GOOD LUCK with customer service.***** UPDATED 5/5/21 *****Finally, got a phone call from Village hat shop and they were VERY helpful... They put the a toggle in an envelope and mailed it via US postal. The envelope was torn and the toggle was gone. A+ for attempting to solve the problem. I'm resolved that this hat will not have a toggle... Good company, descent products.

Straw in this hat is not durable at all
Purchased this hat for shade as I was attending motorcycle land speed events at Bonneville Salt Flats. The hat kept me cool and shaded. Love the hat, but it didn't last very long. Only worn a few times, and already, the straw in the vented portion of the crown isfailing. The straw seems very fragile and there is a huge hole in it now.

Not what they use to be
Very disappointed in this hat. I had one from several years ago and the new hat quality and straw is nothing compared to the past hats. The straw will break with the slightest bend.

Great Hat! Horrible Packing! Crushed hat. Waste of time and money!
Fit as expected. Nice looking, functional hat. However, the packing was unprofessional and poor. Hat arrived crushed into an Amazon box with no support material. In other words, the box was too small for the hat. The hat will not bend or reshape back into an attractive shape. Returning this. Too bad, because otherwise it was an excellent Stetson product.

Crushed on arrival
First one arrived crushed (packaged with a 1 gallon can of carburetor cleaner). 2nd one arrived crushed 4 1/2" tall hat packaged in a 2" tall box. Something had to give...it was the hat. Don't think I am going to try for a 3rd
