Comfort straps- metal hardware- uplifting...
This is NOT a minimizer bra -- why would you want that anyway?!The shoulder straps are wider and padded which is good for all of the work they are doing. The straps attach at the back with metal "O"s -- sturdy; the slider to adjust the length of the straps is metal too! The back of the bra has four hook closures and the band is wider than most bras; truthfully if you are looking at this bra you are not of average size and you need the extra support. The bra does have metal underwires that you barely, if ever notice.Sometimes you might get one where the side-rib might poke you- I've taken them out and the bras still works wonderfully! I've even taken the metal underwire out of an older bra and had the bra still work really well.It does come in white (here) and fawn (slight tan color that even the company Maidenform rarely has in stock). This bra will last a long time as long as you don't put it in the dryer; it is also best to handwash or put in a delicates bag for the washer & hang off metal o-rings to dry.The price of this bra on Amazon (approx. $24) is cheaper that at the Maidenform website -- good deal! The bra is comfortable, stable, lifting, well made, good for working out (to a degree) and will really reduce the shoulder strain that larger sized bras create. IF you want to keep the girls up and at 'em -- you'll enjoy this bra!

Very comfortable
I have used the La Mystere bras for the past several years ($80) so I was skeptical of trying a less expensive bra. However, this bra is great. It is very comfortable and is definitely as supportive as the more expensive La Mystere. The cups are thinner, so I feel less restricted, but they are constructed of 3 parts and are structured so that they are very supportive and hold things up very well. I used the measuring method given, and the bra I ordered fit perfectly. Definitely will buy this again.

MAIDENFORM BRA
Please inform Maidenform that they have cheapened their once fine support bra. When one gets used to a fine quality, support bra, it is hard to believe thata reputable company would use such poor quality materials. The elastic does not support as it used to at the shoulder and the material in the side panels is now a softer material that rolls, not like it was originally, a stiffer spandex material that gave great support. The new form of thisbra is mis-represented now, surely is not the support bra it used to be advertized to be and was!Alice Mckeever

Very Uncomfortable
I wear either a 36DD or a 34DDD and have never had bras that were this uncomfortable to wear. I ordered the 36DD which fit fine with a little room to spare width wise. However, after wearing this an hour I had to take it off. The wires in the center went so high that it separated my breasts and the wires on the sides pushed my breasts toward the center in a minimizer fashion. Similarly, I found the shoulders to be uncomfortable as it was pulling my breasts up at the same time as everything else was pushing them in. I usually wear bras that are full coverage and wire. They have all been very comfortable and I am not sure what my problem was with this bra. However, I never wear minimizer bras or bras that have wires this high around the breasts. I don't think I can ever wear it as it truly was extrememly uncomfortable. However, everyone else seems to have had a great experience with this bra. I guess I am just the minority.

44DDD Lilyette Maximum Support Bra
Pros: Excellent shaping! The 3-panel cup really does the job in lifting. The fabric is smooth, and I did not notice the seams showing under my t-shirts (a true bonus). Definitely feel well supported.Cons: While the stays in the side (vertical "wires" providing support under your arms) help to improve shape, the right side stay really dug into my side, causing very noticable pain. The stay on the left side did not. This is the only reason I didn't rate this bra as a "5 star".Second, this may or may not bother you. Probably because of the minimizer design, the cup seems to push a lot of tissue up toward the arms. Normally, this tissue would be in the bra cup itself. This wouldn't be a reason not to buy this bra for me.The final con is VERY minor. It was actually painful to my fingers to adjust the strap length, because the "clip" is so tight. I found it better to push on one side, then the other, rather than trying to push the entire clip in a straight path.In conclusion, I'm thinking about buying another one of these bras, just to see if the discomfort associated with the one bra is a fluke. I would love for it to be, as this is otherwise the BEST 44DDD bra I have ever found or owned.Update:On second wearing, I'm noticing NO discomfort. So, now I would rate it at 5 stars if I could. And I can say now that this IS the best 44DDD bra I've found! Wouldn't you know? The product is unavailable now!

Full figure bra
Lilyette Women's Maximum Support Bra #908Love this bra. Stores near me either discontinued it or the stores went out of business that carried it. Luckily I discovered it on Amazon. Three cheers for them. Saved me many hours of trying to find a new model bra. I'm either picky or just hard to fit. Price was right too. Saw it on other web sites for twice the price plus shipping. Thanks Amazon. Marywoo from California

Best bra construction
This is the best bra I have purchased in over 40 yrs of wearing one, but it has since been discontinued. Why, I will never know. The support is excellent (44D) and the design is comfortable and uplifting for those with large breasts. Thank goodness for Amazon as I was sooo disappointed this model was discontinued. Buy it while you can!!I bought two and as long as available, I will buy more.
