We Totally Love This New Version,But What's Up With All The Price Increases?
My son was looking for the game of Clue, and before he even finished checking the different versions, the price[which he wrote down]went up! Then before I could decide whether to get this one or the Classic edition, it went up again! I believe it has gone up twice more since I ordered ours! WTH is up with that?????We paid $21.95 for ours and with shipping it was a ludicrous $27+,which I would not even have considered paying if I hadn't gotten a gift card!Definitely look for a lower price, and be very careful about checking the features,as each edition of Clue, out there is different! We really like the new feature of the Intrigue cards. They bring a new element to the game. Also like the new rooms and weapons. We are very happy with it,and it is great to have a good board game to play, now if they bring back a durable Aggravation game, not priced ridiculously high.

Updated version; lots of fun
We played Clue as kids, and found that this updated version (with some different rooms and weapons and a couple new rules), really freshened the game up.We bought the game as a gift for our 9YO. I thought it would be too complicated, but as we played through a game, she caught on, as well as her 10YO friend. The rules seemed a little overwhelming, but as we started playing it all fell together, especially since we had the rule sheet on the table to refer to. In the next 24 hours, the kids played it two more times. We have a million games in our house, and this immediately became a favorite.

Uninspired Little Game
As a Clue collector, I was delighted to see a new game coming to the market. Too bad it turned out the way it did. While the classic Clue editions each had their charms, this game merely feels like an annoying high school kid dying to be popular. The idea of making a modern edition of the classic game is admirable. But the people at Hasbro tried way too hard.Making Mustard a football player? Mrs. White being a child star? The designer of this game spent too much time watching reality tv. With weapons like a dumbbell and an Oscar trophy, this edition is very obviously trying to cater to all those Hollywood stereotypes. Perhaps the strangest improvement is that each suspect now has a special power that can be used once during a game. In my opinion, it does not truly improve game play.As for the pieces themselves... the weapons are very nicely made of solid metal. The pawns are simply plastic rectangles with a "?" displayed in the middle and a colored base. They look very cheap. But the cards are the most disappointing aspect of the whole game. While using real pictures for suspects isn't a bad idea, taking pictures that look like they came from a bad retail catalog does. Mrs. White's picture is especially bad. She looks like she has an itch on her nose.Overall, the game is durable, but only because you won't want to play it much. I gave it some educational value because, like the original Clue, people do learn to think more strategically by using deducting skills. As for the story and game play... I would recommend sticking to the classic clue games.

This is the new version of a classic game
My 9.5 yr old granddaughter requested it. This grandma loves board games involving human interaction face to face vs electronics -- so I was thrilled. She and her sisters and friends LOVE it, as do the adults in the family. I did warn her to keep the small parts together (zip lock helpful) and keep sharpened pencils in the box for process of elimination. This is a great game for families--the kind that makes you think, use process of elimination and thinking at several planes at once. While her 7 year old sister can play, she tires of it first. Keep the parts together and you have an endless ever changing game to play! Love it

Overall fun to play but the new time clock cards are frustrating
The best part of the updated version is that you no longer have to be in the room you are including in your accusation to make an accusation. Instead, you make an accusation from the pool that is located in the center of the game board to finish the game. The worst part of this updated version is that they include intrigue cards that you must draw from when you roll or land on a question mark. This is ok and adds an interesting twist to the game however, in the card pile are 8 time cards. When the 8th time card is drawn, the person who draws it dies so they are automatically out of the game and have to show all of their cards to everyone else. This is very very frustrating if you die after you have already figured out the who, what and where and are just trying to roll to get to the pool.

A favorite game
There are only a few games that stand the test of time...Monopoly, Life, Sorry, Clue, and a few others. These ageless games allow you to play them over and over and never get bored with them. Newer games come out and may be enjoyable initially, but then they disappear. There is a reason the classic games hang on. THEY ARE THE BEST. And, Clue is one of those "BEST GAMES". It also has the benefit of allowing you to learn to get better as you play more...to think of different strategies and ways to read your opponents.Just about the best game ever.

My favorite version!
Listen, this is a slightly more challenging version of the game due to the 4th card that isnโt included in the envelope. Makes it that much more of a mystery and having to pay close attention to other players guesses

Pictured is not what I recieved
The picture is not at all what I recieved. I specifically ordered this particular one for the items depicted in the picture. Very frustrated. Change the picture to depict the correct item to be recieved. You can but the same game that I recieved for 8.77 from Hasbro. How can this be an Amazon exclusive?
