The whole lot of us love this ball
The whole lot of us love this ball...We've been playing volleyball on a regular basis for decades (we even put up lights to play when it gets dark because the texas heat is a killer) but we are all getting older now and this ball is perfect...we get a lot more volleys, nobody's fingers have been broken and once again the game is truly enjoyable...We can even let the younger kids play sometimes because they can now get it over the net...lol...Anyway it is for recreational play and that's exactly what we needed...If you are a younger bunch and know how to play stick with the regular ball

Soft but durable
This is a very high quality ball that's soft on the wrists and arms if you're hitting it hard. It's definitely a pool toy, not a real volleyball, but the size is very comparable to the real deal, and it's more fun than the hard, leathery volleyballs you typically see.

Great for practice, has some limitations if used outdoors
Got this for my 10 year-old daughter so that she would be able to practice more without beating up her forearms etc. The good news is that it is MUCH better as a practice aid than a regular volleyball. It's easier on the forearms and is lighter, so you can practice for a longer time (especially helpful for a young girl who didn't like the feeling of getting stung so often). The bad news is that it is pretty fragile and the coating/covering is really not made for any tough surface. We occasionally practice outside on the grass and the ball does go into the street once in awhile. Through that light usage, you can already see some pretty nasty damage to the outer coating. As long as you are careful with it, it should not be a problem, but I would not recommend this ball if you are planning on using it outside near asphalt or brick walls.

very soft and wonderful for those backyard volleyball games that can get quite competitive. Love that no one has red wrists from a hard ball. Could not keep the kids from using it as a soccer ball either and it held up.

Sting free!
This product is what I had in mind. I wanted a ball for my younger family members to practice volleyball and I was concerned with the “sting” of a regular ball; the shell on this one is perfect and seems of semi durable material!

We (youth and adult) like it very much
The media could not be loaded. Please, this is a pool volleyball, it is not fair to put a review when you use it in other than pool environment. We bought the same one 4 years ago. Just got new one today. We (youth and adult) like it very much, we use it only in the pool. It is waterproof, no water getting inside or stick to the skin of the ball. Nobody really get hurt by hitting it or get hit by it. Only after 4 years the old one has a little bit of peeling off on one of the skin. One day, this summer, it went over my fence to the park, kids took it and play soccer with it. I thought, oh well, time to get a new one!

Fine for beginners, but perhaps not the enthusiast
It's a little bit squishier and lighter than the usual volleyball and therefore tends to bounce higher and and farther. I wouldn't say it's "no sting" at all, as it can still be pretty painful to hit when pumped all the way up. After using this a few times on the court, part of the design and skin is cracked and frayed, but since I don't care too much about cosmetics I was fine with it. Although I like this ball, often times on the court the other teams we play with usually prefer using their own because theirs are closer to the standard weight and feel of the official game ball. With that being said, if you're an enthusiast looking for a more "legit" ball, then you should probably go for something else. As a beginner, however, this was a nice, painless way to ease myself into the game!

Pretty good - but hoping for softer
Decent ball but not as soft as we hoped. It is still too firm and hurts the arms. But it is better for soft indoor play than a regular volleyball so we will use it. And the sting is reduced like it says. But we'll have to search for a softer one to meet the needs of what we are looking for.
