Love it!
I know it is almost the double the price of what it is actually sold in the US but it is the best way currently to secure you online accounts. You should get two keys to safeguard your account if you loose one but since it is very costly I am only using one currently. You should remove the recovery options and phone number from your account if you really want to make your account secure and set up to use only the security key and authenticator app. This can also be useful for github since github doesn't provide any recovery if you loose your authenticator app and backup codes, it is gone. I would suggest you to invest in one if you feel like you can be hacked otherwise for any normal person sms as 2FA is better than nothing and will work flawlessly plus you have an option to use authentication app so you have to spend 0.

Awesome product. Go for it. But price is unreasonable
Regarding product Its awesome. Using a physical key for two step verification instead of TOTP make things really simple. But not all sites support U2F/FIDO2. Most of them still relies on OATH-TOTP implementation for 2SV. So, it can store the secret key required for generating TOTP as well. For some password managers like KeePass, it can be used as a physical key for database decryption. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the product Regarding pricing If you purchase a single YubiKey 5 NFC from yubico.com, the total cost will come to $45 + $78 ~ ₹ 8,938 (cost of key + shipping charges). But since, the seller must've bought it in bulk, the cost will be significantly less. So, I feel the price here is too much inflated. PS - I got it at ₹ 6,350 when I bought it on 15/03/21

Yubikey security
Works perfectly as advertised. Only gripe is that it's unusable on my old phone without a usb-1 to micro usb converter.

Genuine product, a must-have for serious online security
Genuine product, works as expected. Must have if you're serious about your online security. It's a shame banks don't support these but other than that, most of your important accounts like Gmail, password managers, etc are covered. Wish these were produced in India though so they could be cheaper, it sells at twice the US/Canadian price, probably because of the import/shipping charges.

Use with youtube or email or facebook
Good for 2 layer security Works perfectly with NFC on my Samsung or iphone. Phone needs to have nfc enabled. Secure your accounts with this key.

Instead of numeric code yubi-key display characters
Instead of numeric code , it display characters which doesn't work for my account. My overall negative remark is for Amazon policy of 7 days , it should not be generic for all products. In my case Yubikey account authentication approval itself took time and finally i realised its not programmed as per company security guidelines, Yubikey support denied to take it forward, complete waste of Rs 7300. Before purchasing verify if its programmed for your account.

Works okay, NFC feature hit-and-miss.
Works great for USB. I use it for Windows logon and for Yubico Authenticator app for sites that have OTP codes. It's also supported by Lastpass and Google. Of course, you'll probably want to get two of these as a backup in case you lose one. I have one permanently at home and the other on my keyring for mobile/laptop use when out and about. The one slight drawback as by design, many sites that support 2FA, only allow you to register one code. Ideally, you would register separately for each Yubikey, rather than having to set up the same on both Yubikeys at the same time, this way, if a Yubikey is lost, you can revoke the 2FA only for the lost key. One small drawback is you'll need both Yubikeys to hand every time you set up or remove a 2FA, to update both, as may sites/apps don't let you see the QR code again once it's been set up. This is perhaps offset by the useful ability to plug the Yubikey into any device, securely use your 2FA/auth, and then unplug it, rather than having to set it all up again for every device. It takes a bit of time to set up and get used to, but you'll be in a much more secure once it's done. The NFC feature never worked on my Huawei/Honor Play phone, despite all sorts of fiddling around with the NFC settings, so I had to use an adapter to USBC to use the YubiKey with this phone, but I just upgraded to a Google Pixel 6 and it works pretty well once you get the technique of how to hold it behind the phone. (doesn't need to physically make contact, just hold quite close to the back) I haven't got SSH/PGP working with it yet as this seems quite complicated to do on Windows and the documentation is somewhat lacking in this area.
