If genuine, it works and is recommended.
I run hotter than your average bear. I like it cold. The colder the better, in fact. So when it comes to Summer in the Memphis, TN area, I suffer. Add on a bike helmet, with its insulating foam, and my head pours forth with perspiration. It makes my very needed glasses difficult to see through, stinging my eyes, and dribbles down on my bike and body. I look like I went through the rain, in short. I have the Halo brand skull cap with the same silicone strip that this model has. Tradeoff is that I get even warmer with another layer on my head, so I decided to give this model a try. Since I have a big head I was a bit suspect of the one size fits all sizing. The skull cap version has an open end with a tie to adjust the fitting, and it works. In two months of near daily usage, it has retained its shape and not stretched. It is also not tight but fits just right. The silicone strip works as described, directing my still prodigious perspiration down the sides of my head away from my glasses. At times, if I bend over too far, it will weep past the band and down the front of my face, but the flow is minimal and not the vision blinding flow of normal. I recommend this, but should note that it does take some fiddling for me to get my glasses and this aligned properly to prevent a headache from happening. Something about the glass earpiece and pressure gives my a headache at times. Not the ideal accompaniment to the heat of Summer. Looks wise, I don't really worry about it. I am a cyclist in lycra and helmet, so my concern of appearance went out the window long ago. The helmet does cover it up some, if that concerns anyone. My version appears to be the genuine Halo brand, purchased in May 2017. Accounting for fit, I highly recommend this.

Halo headband - red, white, and blue tie dye (TIE VERSION)
I had ordered the Halo II pullover version after reading some favorable reviews online and accidentally received the tie version by accident. Was kinda bummed at first, but now that that I've had this thing for about a year, I can't really imagine using the other version now. This one checks all the boxes for me. This review is for the tie version (not sure how to review the other, so apologies for those that find this review out of place - the review probably generally holds true for the pullover version as well): Very absorbent and does a good job of keeping sweat out of my eyes even though I'm a pretty profuse sweater. Keep in mind this headband may/will saturate at some point if you're working hard enough. After each use, I rinse the headband out thoroughly with warm tap water and then ring it out/hang dry. This gets the job done for me - no rashes or strange smells. I have not laundered the headband through the washing machine (not sure if this is discouraged by the manufacturer) but I imagine this would cause undue wear and tear, especially to the silicon? forehead gripper-band-thing. So far the headband has held up pretty well with no obvious signs of wear after a year of general use and heavy use the last 13 weeks (about 30 mins of indoor cycling every other day). I have a fairly good sized dome (fitted baseball hat size ~ 7 1/2) and there is enough length to comfortably tie it around without too much excess material. The headband is pretty comfortable to wear and makes me feel like Ryu from Streetfighter 2 when I've got it on. I use this mostly when indoor cycling at home and a few bold times in (semi-)public when camping/hiking. Although I don't have any experience with other headbands, I would highly recommend this product (i.e. tie version) to anyone shopping for a headband/sweatband. Lastly, the red/white/blue tie-dye colorway is really fun. It might be slightly over the top/kinda ridiculous but it looks great in person. To those on the fence about color choices, headbands are kinda stupid anyway - go bold and own it.

Life saver for sweaty mountain bikers.
This thing is a life saver for heavy sweaters. I’ve never had an issue with it fitting under my helmet, nor has it caused any discomfort. The silicone bar leaves a mark on your forehead, but it’s better than sweat in your eyes! The headband itself gets pretty wet, but does an amazing job redirecting the sweat towards your temples and the back of your head. I haven’t had any issue with washing and drying this with all my other clothes. My only issue, which is not the fault of the product itself, is that I’ve lost multiple of these. I’d recommend getting bright color, as the black one tends to magically disappear. Highly recommend for sweaty mountain bikers.

Great Sweat Control for Hot Workouts and Garage Projects — Silicone Strip Eventually Wears Out
I purchased this Halo II sweatband for my husband, who spends a lot of time working in a hot garage restoring and repairing cars. He sweats quite a bit while working, and this is the only brand of sweatband he's found that consistently keeps sweat from running into his eyes. The standout feature is the silicone SweatBlock strip, which does a great job of channeling perspiration away from the forehead and toward the sides of the face instead of letting it drip into your eyes. For anyone working in hot conditions, exercising, running, cycling, or doing projects in a warm garage, that feature alone makes a noticeable difference. The headband is comfortable to wear, stays in place well, and has become something he reaches for every time he's working outside or in the garage. The only downside is longevity. While the fabric itself holds up well, we've found that the silicone strip eventually starts to peel away after several months of regular use. Once that happens, it doesn't direct sweat nearly as effectively, and that's usually when it's time to replace it. They're also a little expensive for what they are, but because this is the only sweatband that has worked consistently for him, we continue buying them. Overall, if you're looking for a running headband or sweatband that actually keeps sweat out of your eyes, this is an excellent option. Just be aware that frequent use may eventually cause the silicone strip to wear out before the rest of the headband.

Works Amazingly
Purchased for my husband. He wanted something he could wear while doing yard work and he absolutely loved it. It’s 100 degrees out and he never had sweat dripping in his face. He shared it was a little snug, but comfortable and hit under his hat.

Works great!
I've been cycling for years before I heard about Halo headbands. I cycle 100-120 miles per week, and on each ride I used 2 conventional headbands in succession to handle all the sweat generated, and I still got sweat in my eyes. The Halo headband solved. 1 Headbands lasts the entire ride and there is no sweat in eyes and no foggy sunglasses. It does the job

An ok headband but I still dripped sweat
While this headband looks really cute and does help some with dripping sweat, it's no match for my summer-in-Georgia-working-outside sweat. I still either can't wear my glasses or have to wipe them constantly---annoying. It doesn't slide down or stretch out, so there's that. Overall, better than my former headbands but doesn't work well enough for me to pay for another one.

I like it
This thing actually works. I was skeptical since I sweat like a dam break. This fits easily underneath my mountain bike helmet and the silicone band at the front takes the majority of the sweat to the sides and not dripping down my glasses and nose.

夏の必需品!
サイクルリングで使っており、リピートです。 汗っかきなので、これでかなり汗が目に入るのを止めてくれます。ただし、下を向くと、止められていた汗が一気に流れてくるので注意は必要です。

Buenisima solucion!
