I was worried reading so many reviews stating their mat cracked, chair couldn't roll easily or had large dents from wheels. This did come rolled and had a warning to unpack very carefully due to it's being rolled under pressure. Unpacking was challenging and it did go flat immediately once released from it's binding. It was also challenging to place this very unflexible mat into the tight corner my desk is in, but I did manage it and since then I'm loving it. It is solid, no denting and my chair rolls easily. I have a large chair and I'm a hefty woman, so that is all a huge plus. I think the most important element to success with this mat is to be sure you purchase one for the correct depth of carpet. The spikes on the back of this mat seem to be the exactly right depth for my carpet to reach the flat subfloor and maintain a nice flat mat. Carefully measure your carpet depth and order the right mat and all will be right with your world!

Really wanted to like this mat, especially since it was firmer than usual soft mats you buy. I thought paying more would result in a mat that was thicker and would last a lot longer, unfortunately this was not the case. The mat cracked on both sides where the lip connects to the main body after a few months. Attempting to use duck tape on both sides to hold it together seemed to just make it worse over time, eventually tape got embedded in carpet, likely ruining that section of it. I don't believe this mat is worth the high cost given how quickly it fails.

Bought this in 2022 and now 3 years later it is cracked. The edges often lift and don't fully grip the carpet making the pad move ever so slightly every time you roll around.

This mat is definitely superior to many vinyl mats I have had in the past. As other reviewers have noted it does not dent, so you do not get trapped in one position, my chair rolls easily. I have now ordered my second mat, because the previous one developed about 15 parallel cracks, each about a foot long, in the center, after about two and a half years of use. That is still better than vinyl mats. Perhaps the perfect chair mat is an impossibility! ? The manufacturer has taken care of the previous problem of very sharp edges. The new mat has decent edges, rather than the knife-sharp ones the old one came with.

I have had this chair mat and used it daily for over 2½ years. In the last few months it has started cracking. Just last week a small piece actually broke off. I liked it very much before this happened.

Be careful opening it up since it will unroll like a tight wound spring and you can get hurt.!!!! Besides that, it instantly laid down flat, my chair is rolling freely and it is thick enough not to get indentations from the wheels like cheap maps get. Overall, highly recommended and I will replace the rest of the mats in office and working area with those.

I've used this mat for months and it hasn't dented, gotten groves, cracked, yellowed or even shifted out of place. It still looks brand new! If you need a heavy duty, transparent, full size office chair mat that actually supports weight and will see a lot of daily use- this is the one. It's well worth the price. I put the second one under my craft room work bench. If I drop a tiny project component, I can easily spot it on the mat!

Bought these a few months ago to replace ones bought from Staples that had cracked over the years. We chose this one because we got two for a reasonable price and they shipped flat. The box it shipped in was a complete mess, but the actual product was undamaged (fortunately). We have two office areas on carpet surfaces. One is medium carpet density, but the other carpet is high grade and plush. These mats are very thin and I was worried that they would break the first time we sat in our chairs. But so far they have performed very well - no dents, no cracks, and they seem to stay in place fairly well. Maybe when it comes to chair mats, thinner is better because it creates less strain on the polycarbonate material. Pleasantly surprised by the performance of these chair mats so far!
