2 Dram Clear Glass Vial w/Black Screw Cap (144)

Bought these for a science activity (extracting DNA from cheek cells, using food coloring to make it visible, and taking it home) my biochemistry club hosted at an elementary school. They worked great! We were expecting to spend a lot of money on tiny glass vials, so finding these for sale was a nice surprise. All of them arrived in good condition.

Very nice small vials. I use these to hold gun powder for reloading pre-measured powder loads at the range. By pre-measuring the powder weights beforehand, I can quickly reload just those powder weights that show some promise for use. Previously I would load complete rounds at home and then transport them to the range for testing. Loads that were eratic or showing signs of overpressure couldn't be used further and I would have to pull the bullets later at home. That made for a lot of wastage. Now, unused powder is simply returned to the original container. No wastage at all. Very economical, especially when wworking up loads for accuracy.

All of the vials were delivered intact to my delight. I was almost certain that one would be shattered since I purchased 144 vials total, knowing it would arrive in a sheet of bubble wrap. Out of curiosity, I selected one randomly and filled it with water to test for leaks. I wrapped the vial in tissue paper and shook it vigorously for a few seconds. There was a dab of wetness, but honestly, the cap creates a tight seal.For a visual aid, the 2 Dram vial is a bit shorter and thinner than a standard tube of lipstick. In fact, it has similar dimensions as a tube of Burt's Bees lip balm (4.25g) if you cut away 1/4-1/2 of the cap. I could definitely use a case to store these in. Another reviewer mentioned shotgun shell cases - Dick's Sporting Goods sells cases (25 shell capacity) for about $6 so I might try that if I can't find a lipstick/cosmetic box with more slots.Anywho, I'm thrilled with this purchase and I wouldn't be surprised if I buy from them again.

All came in the box . A little dusty on the top but still looked clean. Packing could have been a little better. None came broken but they put the items in a white thin box closed with one small thick piece of tape. I opened it to fast and the bottles spilled out on the floor since it wasn't very secure. None broke when they hit the floor. Not sure how sanitary it is inside but I like what I have. I'm using them to put holy water and adding stickers of faith phrases as little baptism gifts. I chose to use these sellers because of the reviews whereas other sellers had even worse reviews. Good buy.

The 2 dram vials are the same as the twelve pack. They made of glass and the cap twists on securely. I purchased them to be used for insect specimens, and so far they are working great. The glass is a bit thin, so if you expect your vials to undergo extreme stress, I wouldn't get these. Everyday use purposes, however, will be easily handled by these vials. Also, depending on what you want to do with them, you should be advised that they are not sterile. The shipping cost makes these worth the price!

I bought them for incubating broth samples in an egg incubator and for a simple homemade RGB spectrometer (don't know how accurate it'll be when it's done). I'm also interested in herbal treatments, so I'll likely use them for my herbal mixes too.The only issue I have with this item is that the ad isn't quite perfectly accurate. Mine came with six, three (3) ml droppers. But this is not significant enough to dock a star.In the end, I definitely recommend this item and intend to buy many more in the future.

These collection vials are exactly what I wanted and met all my expectations. Perfect size to collect water samples for observing under a microscope. Large enough to handle well and yet so small they are easily carried. Great for carrying small amounts of reagents too.
