Red Tealight Candles with Clear Cup - Set of 36 Unscented Tea Lights - 8 Hour Burn Time

Ugh! These are the worst!! The wicks are awful and the wax melts funny so they can barely even hold a little blue flame. Out of all 36 maybe only 5 burned with an actual flame. Do not buy.

I was searching for a candle that I could use in mason jars at my wedding. I bought these versus a votive since a votive candle would just melt in the mason jar and I wanted a clear case versus a metal case so it would look nicer. This candle is the one to get!!! I have tested it and so far it has lasted over 5 hours and still going strong. Just note that the white part will melt within the first 1-2 hours and then will continue to burn the melted wax (clear color) in the cup. There is no scent at all which we need due to everyone's sensitivities. Well worth paying a little bit more than the cheaper versions as the other ones don't last very long. The only thing I would say is it does spill a tiny, tiny bit of wax so you might want to keep it in a container of some sort so it doesn't get on table linens.

The candles are nice, no scented. But they are not purple, mine are a light lavander color which is not what I wanted. But my event is too close to date and don't have enough time to replaced, not happy 😡

I tested one yesterday; it certainly burned for 8 hours continuously with a decent flame (not huge and not tiny), and I didn't notice any smoke. I will be able to use these at my wedding and not have to worry about them going out! While normal tealights are 1/2-5/8" tall, these are 1-1/16" tall. They are also a teeny bit wider; a teacup in a metal cup could fit in the empty plastic cup. Most wicks are centered throughout the candle, while others have the wick off-center at the bottom but centered at the top. I found with a votive that the off-center wick doesn't really matter, since the container keeps the wax liquified at the top so the candle can still burn. The plastic cup is sturdy and has little feet on the bottom. The candles are from China, so they don't all look top-notch; plastic cups have dings around the edge, some dark imperfections in the wax. I only wish they weren't just thrown in the bag because then they get beat around during shipping and there's bits of wax all on the outside of the cups.

The wick must just be too short - b/c the candles do not stay lit b/c when the wax melts - it smothers the wick. The flame is so low anyway also - not really even able to use them. VERY DISAPPOINTED-and such a waste of money. I thought maybe it was just a few of them that were like that - but every one so far has been absolutely worthless..... wish I could return them

I needed at least an 8 hour burn on votive tea lights in a clear plastic cup to look pretty is scalloped glass votive holders. The event was 8 hours long and I wanted them to last all the way through. I ordered 2 packs of 30 each to total 60 tea lights. The first pack was wonderful - clean and easy to drop right into my pretty glass votives. The second pack was a mess! There was wax all over the outside of the clear plastic holders. I was afraid they would gunk up the glass holders. So, I took a heavy duty towel and spent time rubbing all the wax off. (I did not have time to return and exchange.) The good thing is, they did last all the way through. Some were just beginning to extinguish at the 8 hour mark. Others were still going. So they are definitely true as advertised.

The only votive I use! These are packed in a box and come out clean and ready to use. They also burn cleanly - no smoke and no scent. Wick is fine - not too short and not too long. Have never had a problem lighting them. They fit nicely in all my regular size votives and are essential in my clear glass votives. I also keep a supply of 4.5 hour tealights for my lower votives. I have used them at a wedding and in my decorating/entertaining. They burn for 8 hours and therefore are great for an event. Easy to clean up - just toss the cup and reload the votive for next time. I always keep a supply of the 8 and 4.5 hour tealights on hand.

I was so excited to find these bigger tea lights and I love the color. The 1 star is for the color. The lack of stars is for the fact that they are terrible. When first lit, they looked beautiful. After less than 5 minutes they are barely burning. I thought they went out, but no, just the very smallest flame as they are drowning in the wax. I had 15 of them lit in different containers and different places and it was the same for all of them. I was sooo disappointed. They are definitely defective.

These candles are indeed long lasting tealights. I am ordering more. As to whether they last for a full 8 hours, I cannot say but they do indeed last WAY longer than other tealights. I will light them and they will last the entire evening for us. A winner.

Bought these for burning at home during holidays in a Christmas display. They look fine, but once you light them the flame starts out bright, then immediately diminishes to barely burning and stays that way. They give off no light - you can't tell they are lit unless you're right over top of them. I thought maybe the first one was just a bad candle, but all of them are burning this way. I have a LOT of experience burning tealights and nothing you do for these ones helps the wick work. VERY DISAPPOINTING AND A WASTE OF MONEY. I'd give them a zero-star rating if I could.

These are pretty candles until you burn them! They do not burn well at all! I returned them and got my money back. I was disappointed as I really liked the look of them.
