Great For Camping As Well As Home
I use this pump setup when we go camping. The pump allows the use of a reusable water bottle that you can keep filling instead of the store bought disposables. The pump requires a couple of minutes to setup and does not require a battery. Simply press the top a few times until the water starts out of the spigot and keep going until full. The weight of a five gallon jug provides stability for easy use. A solid addition to your home or camp gear for about twenty dollars.

Great pump that can be modified for any water bottle.
I purchased this pump because I had to use bottled water while having some plumbing work done at my house. I like the fact that this pump does not need batteries to run. It's good for household use and I'm sure it will be great to use when camping as well. The pump did fit my 5 gallon water bottle, however it did not fit my 3 gallon American Made bottles without slight modification. The issue with the 3 gallon bottle is 2 fold. First, the opening at the top of the bottle is slightly too small for the pump to grasp it correctly. I saw some people in reviews suggested rubber bands and others suggested O rings. At the time I had neither. The next best thing was rubber hair ties. I used ones purchased at the local drug store they're the black ones made for extra hold and they actually resemble a large O ring. Depending on the size of the opening of your bottle you may need to use anywhere from 1 to 5 to achieve the desired effect. You may need to layer them. You'll know it's on correctly when you can tighten screw on the clamp without it releasing and the pump doesn't move. The second issue for the 3 gallon bottles is the length of the tubing. The tubing comes in 2 pieces that fit together. Because these are made for 5 gallon bottles using one tube for 3 gallons is way too short and using both tubes will be too long. I solved this by using one tube along with some plastic tubing I had. This makes it easy to switch between the 3 and 5 gallon bottles by just changing out the tubing. That being said the pump fits my 5 gallon Primo water bottles as it was intended to do. I'm very happy with this purchase and if the need arises again I would certainly not hesitate to order another one.

No Shipping Problem for Me!
I choose my title to emphasize that I did not have any shipping problems. It wouldn't surprise me if the owner of the company read the previous post and has made corrections to shipping. This is SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT I very highly recommend this to anyone. I get bottled water because sometimes the tap water does not taste right. I had bought a water dispenser that dispenses hot and cold water. I immediately regretted buying one of those devices becaue of the very slow water delivery. You have to bend down and hold your cup in position for a while, sometimes while operating the safety device for hot water. So, you have to hold your cup in one hand, and push those tiny buttons at the same time. THIS PUMP AVOIDS ALL THOSE PROBLEMS. The water flows very quickly out of the device. I don't even like drinking cold water, so I prefer that it not be refrigerated. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, I don't have to try to invert that huge 5 gallon bottle over an electic unit, trying not to get water all over the place. I HATE LOADING THE ELECTRIC UNITS! I also have a bad back and I'm female, I don't have the strength and have to ask hubby to do it. On the contrast, with the pump, you don't have to invert any bottles at all. And it is very easy to mount the pump. You just set the bottle on a counter and screw on the pump. I bought sturdy a 30" high wooden cabinet from Michaels. I think it cost $25 and I stained and sealed it. I can put my drink mixers in there, ie., lemonade, coffee, tea, etc. So it is easy to find a stand for the pump and bottle if you want one. I recommend the Michaels cabinet over any of the custom stuff bought on line. Regarding the quality of the pump, I've only had the product for 1 month now, but this pump seems very sturdy and it functions very well. Water comes out fast, minimal pumping required. It is easy to pump this pump.

They've made changes
I bought one three years ago, and that one pumped really strongly when you first attached it, didn't seem to lose pressure very quickly, and never heard it losing air while pumping unless I hadn't screwed it down tight enough. The new one I got recently doesn't seem to seal as well, I can hear it losing air with every pump, and I have it on as tight as I can get it. Still pumps pretty well, surprisingly, though it takes more pumps to get it going than my older one. I did unscrew the pump on both, and noticed the new one has an added plastic cap on top of the bladder and an added plastic spacer on the bottom giving more clearance to the two holes on the bottom of the bladder container, which probably makes a difference to air movement, both have a hole at the top of the bladder, and both have two holes in the plastic body under the bladder, and one other hole under the neck attachment you can see when you remove the device from the water bottle. I'm doubting that a replacement would fix the issue if they're all being made this way now. And doubt that adding a hose clamp will solve the issue for me. I tried covering the two outer holes with tape to see if that would replicate the older form of those two holes being covered by the bladder, but it didn't work. EDIT 7/06/2023: Got another issue. On the attachment portion, where you screw it down to tighten it onto the bottle, there are bits that stick out to stop you from removing the tightener ring. Well those bits have been breaking off on my new one. Still have them all on my old one. So may need a hose clamp once enough of those break off. I don't think I'd recommend these to anyone anymore.

Wonderful Pump!!!
This pump works awesome! It pumps out water at a very reasonable rate and without much effort. The tube goes all the way to the bottom but I do have to angle it slightly just because the jug is convex at the bottom but I'd still say a perfect fit. It's 100% manual which is what I wanted since I didn't want to have to charge something or replace batteries and if the world ends, this thing will still work :D I didn't like having the jug on the angled rack and it took up almost a whole counter. It was annoying. I also didn't want some large dispenser taking up floor space. This "lil" pump made for the perfect compromise with the smallest foot print possible and I have over 3/4 of my counter now. I have an AmericanMaid 5 gallon jug I gather came from Walmart (my girl's brother got it years ago). I also bought some caps off here specifically for it which do not work BUT this pump fits and seals proper. I only mention that since there have been some reviews about issues w/ the AmericanMaid jugs. 100% satisfied and I finally am willing to fill this 5 gallon jug and lug it to/from my car (things are heavy when they're full ) :D

Most reliable, easy-to-use hand pump I've used
I brought this pump with me to camp in the desert for 9 days (at Burning Man). We went through 7 jugs of water, which sat in the sun in 110F temperatures during the day and cooled down to 40F at night. Even with the big temperature changes (which presumably caused pressure changes), we had no problems with the pump. Over the years, I've used at least half a dozen hand pumps and battery powered pumps. None were as easy or as reliable as this one. We mostly used the pump to fill our camelbaks, which require some dexterity to hold open, so it's important that you can pump one-handed and that the water squirts in the same direction while you pump. This pump was great. Pros: - Easy to install; take the plastic cap off the bottle, hand-tighten the crank and you're ready to go. - Easy to remove; untighten the crank. - Pumps with one hand - Pumps automatically after a few pumps if you hold down the top - just make sure you let go with some space in your container because it takes a moment to stop pumping when you release the button. - Consistent flow while pumping; no need to wiggle your container back and forth to catch the stream. Cons: - A couple of inches are left in the bottom. The bottle becomes easy to lift, so it's not too bad to pour it out unless you're trying to fit it into a small glass. - There isn't a great way to store it when you aren't using it. - Only works with the 5 gallon jugs, which have more expensive water than you can get out of your tap, etc.

Excellent low-price solution for pure drinking water
I purchased this item because I love bottled drinking water, but did not want to continue to pay the vendor to rent a cooler. Nor did I want to purchase one of my own. This pump just seals right onto the top of a 5-gallon purified water jug and makes an easy cheap solution. The pump is easy enough that I can pull a lot of water without my arm getting tired. The flow rate is also quite rapid - meaning that I can fill a large container in a decent amount of time. I am so happy with this purchase, I wish I would have known about this pump a long time ago. It just works well. Friends actually comment on what a cool idea this is. The submerged tube goes almost to the bottom of the jug, so there is always about 10 cups or so that the tube cannot reach. The tube detaches from the pump and comes apart into two sections for easy cleaning using the included scrub brush. Totally cool purchase! As long as it doesn't break anytime soon, it's definitely 5 stars. So far so good - I have been using it quite heavily for about a month and it hasn't slowed down yet. Will update if it does.
