Dover has great detailed pictures. Other coloring books have childish pictures that adults would not find appealing. Dover gives a lot of details in their pictures and historical facts to go with each picture.

This is one of my favorite Tom Tierney coloring books! The illustrations are so well done and the detail is just incredible. It’s hard to believe that back then everything was hand done! I am having to much fun coloring this book!The only complaint is the double sided pages and how you can’t easily tear out the coloring pages if you want to share.In the photo above I have made a copy of an illustration from the book so I could use gel pens.

Nice pictures to color

I'm glad that there are so many different poses and designs. I'm a felt crafter and I like to get my inspiration from coloring books. The images are easier to deconstruct for the purposes I use - I make small felt ornaments. These designs will help me achieve my goal of creating Civil War inspired Christmas ornaments.

Fun product but wish more page samples would be shown in the ordering preview section.

I love seeing all of the old fashion clothing pictured in this book! There are so many fun outfits to color! Each coloring page is full of detail and it is very interesting to read the bits of information at the bottom of the pages. Five stars!

this is a beautiful book with pictures that are easy to color--use your imagination for the colors--information about each picture is helpful

Lots of coloring to do in this book, which I have not yet finished. Useful bits of information as usual.

Another excellent Dover Fashions product, beautifully illustrated, making it fun to learn about that period.

the book is what i do not like----- the pics are beautiful ---love them but again only can do 1 side the one you color is runied---i use the crayola super tips they are bright & colorful ---where as the pencil crayons are dull---please inform company of the flaw---the book is beautiful but we are only getting 1/2 the book as the other 1/2 is ruined----i will by no more of them that say paper back...

tolles Buch, tolle Motive aber leider sehr dünnes Papier das auch noch zweiseitig bedruckt ist. Die Outlines schimmern durch und man muss echt beim ausmalen auf die Stiftewahl achten damit es nicht durchscheint.
