This is the perfect toy to introduce around 3 months age to engage your baby more during tummy time. My son absolutely loves it and he is able to stay on his tummy for longer stretches because he is so engaged. The size of the rolling rattle is perfect for small baby hands and I feel that this helped him learn to start reaching, more than the activity mat where toys hang down over the baby. Now that he’s a couple months older I use this toy to help him learn to push up on his arms and pivot by placing it at 45-90 degree angles in relation to his hands instead of directly in front of him. He loves it so much he figures out how to get it every time! The toy is very durable and well made. Plus, it’s beautiful and the colors are so vibrant. I’m extremely happy with this purchase and I would recommend you get one for your little one too.

It’s beautifully made - it feels very soft to the touch and it has a small noisemaker inside when rolling it.Two things to note:1) Size: it was smaller than I had expected (I didn’t look for measurements though, but did later find them in the Q/A.) The size isn’t an issue though, I think it will be the perfect size for small baby hands when my sons are ready for this!2) Serial number: I thought the serial number could have been printed a little more inconspicuously - you’ll notice in the video that it’s printed largely on the blue panel. Just a small detail that kind of annoyed me. :)All in all - I would really recommend this toy! I bought as an early Christmas present for babies on the way. I will update this review if there are any wear issues once they’re able to start using it, but it feels so high quality I doubt that will be an issue!

Easy take-along take along toy for "tummy time

This thing is tiiiiiny. I initially got it because I was seeing ads for the Lovevery roller that looks similar to this - except that one is giant and this one is like, two inches tall. Still, it's a good size for my baby and he can pick it up and shake it to hear the ball rattle inside. The ball also isn't super annoying to hear, since it's wood on wood - some of his other rattles are way more grating and loud! Even though it's tiny, it's still a decent toy that isn't obnoxious like a lot of kids toys out there!

Beautiful toy, truly enjoyed by my grandson. He’s been playing with it since 7.5 months, and now m, at 9 months he bats it around the house crawling after it. What makes it great is rolling colors and the tinkling bell inside.

My son is 7 months old and liked this toy immediately. As others have commented, the toy is small. For me, this is a plus. It's the perfect size for small hands to handle. It's also very light, unlike other wood toys he has, which makes it easy to maneuver. My son loves to leap and catch the toy from a sitting position, when the toy rolls away from him. I even got him to ( sort of) roll the toy back and forth with me. I'm giving it four stars because my toy came with a slightly uneven paint job. It's more of a wash than solid colors. I don't mind it; I'm just unsure whether that's how it's supposed to be or whether it's a defect. Anyway, not something worth returning the toy for.

Love the safe materials in PlayToys. This one is super pretty. My first daughter had the deeper colors version of this as a baby and loved it! Sadly, I lost it. So I got this pastel one for my second baby girl. I’m sure she will love it as well!

I was looking at the product that is practically the same as this toy from Grimm. It was way more money though so I decided to give this a go. I'm so happy I did, it is so fun to roll around when doing tummy time and my little guy loves picking it up, shaking it and biting on it, so the size worked out for me. Great purchase, we will probably play with it for a long time. And the colors are so beautiful once my kid doesn't want to play with it I'll keep it on my desk to roll around once in a while.

Edit: now that I’ve had it a while, I’m actually really starting to appreciate that this toy is smaller. My 8 month old loves chasing it around the room as it rolls and it’s small enough he can pick it up. It’s not what I had in mind when I ordered it and I do wish they’d been a bit clearer about the size but I’m very pleasantly surprised. And the quality is still great as well.The quality is fine but the toy is very small. It’s more like a small shelf decoration. Not impressed

I got this for my 12m old, it was smaller than expected but still ok. He is too old for it though, not really interested, would be much better suited to 4-10months or so when they enjoy holding and shaking things. Colours are nice and seems well made.

Very cute my 7 month old child likes this toy

My son has just figured out how to roll this lovely toy and is mesmerized by the colours as it spins and enjoys the colours as it moves.

Feels well-made, and the bright colours are very attractive to bub. Was afraid the wooden ball might be a bit dull (vs a bell in some other rolling rattles) but it's not an issue and works perfectly.
