Another wonderful book from Lynn Austin
As always, Lynn Austin does not disappoint. I could hardly put this book down just like all the others I’ve read of hers.

Wonderful Read
I have two young kids and get distracted easily. It took me almost a month to read the first half of the book, and the last half took me about 4 days (I finally had time to just sit and read). I highly recommend this book. I love how it wraps everything up at the end, and everything makes sense. It hit home for me, as I read!

A Must Read Story!
This is a wonderful book telling a family's story through three generations. It tells a story of how strong women can be, and what they can and will do for their children. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for something that will hold your interest throughout the entire book!

Suffering Leads to Mercy
People change. Writing reflects life. I can't help but wonder what life events for Lynn Austin, her family, or friends may have provoked this story to life. Even though I'd call this story "brooding,"I came away with encouragement.I had minor trouble following the storyline as backstory emerged, but I could follow. If you are a "skimmer", this book is not for you. The reader must tune in to the main characters to keep them straight, especially Eleanor and Cynthia.Austin keeps pushing the reader toward resolution. So many life stories tumble onto each other—Rory's decision pulling Fiona to America. The stock market crash of '29 affecting real and false families. Peripheral faith falling short in troubled times. Lynn Austin kept the cascade of generational choices flowing until the very end. I had to keep reading. The highlight for me was the quote from the Lenten prayer. Somehow I wish that had been in the front of the book. It won't be a spoiler but rather a tease to lure you into the book: "Let what we suffer teach us to be merciful—let our sins teach us to forgive."

Christian novel
I really enjoyed this book and am reading others in the series. It gives a good idea of the possible background of the biblical stories and contains good teaching as well as a good storyline. Book in good condition. Prompt delivery.
