ABBA 4500 Large Macaw Blend Bird Food 5lbs

Hootie ( Macaw) didn’t care for it , super picky

The product seems to be geared to pleasing the Human palate as well as the Parat. It has a scent of amaretto to the seeds which, although pleasing to the human, I don't know if the Macaws actually find it pleasing. The Macaws do eat it and enjoy cracking the whole nuts. When I buy Macaw food, the first thing I do is try to calculate how much it would cost me to reproduce the same thing. I mean everything you need is found in grocery stores or local feed store. So although I did find this product a bit pricey i also found it difficult to reproduce it and keeping the cost down to what they charge for this one. What would always put me over was the whole nuts which are not cheep. Any way my macaws like it so if you find it a bit too much to afford you can always just get a bag and use it as a topping for their regular cheaper food or just a treat from time to time.

I really like the food, I even get the African Grey blend. The only concern for me is availability. I tried to reorder and it was not available. However, I bought some other and I will try to reorder again.Good food! Thanks!

The smell! Lady Boo willmake a dive for it every time. We like it....

Great my B&G Macaw loves it.Just wish Amazon could have it back in stock. Now need to look elsewhere to purchase it.

It’s not that the food is bad it’s just that my Makar is having a nervous break down and doesn’t like it all of a sudden he throws it out of his bowl

The packaging would’ve been perfect if it was resealable but other than that I was 100% satisfied with this product! My picky macaw loved it!

Food looks good only complaint I have when I ordered it straight from ABBA it was vacuum sealed the bag I got was not
