Is this suitable for the rechargeable branch cutter and does it come with the charger

It does not come with a charger. This is a Parskide XTEAM 20V battery. Lidl sell two types of cordless Parkside power tools, the other type, which is 12V, tends to be for newer, smaller, tools, so this one might be suitable for a branch cutter -but check it says "Parkside XTEAM 20V" on the tool.

will it work on the chainsaw

Yes it is Parkside chain saw and one of Parkside v20 family. I.e not an old version of Parkside. However, you can purchase and if it not the right one, you can always change it with the right one but I am sure it will work

Why are these so expensive when lidl sell them at £25

Yes you are correct... they are £25 in Lidl so work it out......you are being ripped off. The same goes (but in a much bigger scale) for the Parkside PASSPL1 & 2.....£225 + here but 79 Euro everywhere else. Amazon should really look at this.....many potential Amazon customers are already doing so.....look out! I spent over a year trying to source a Parkside PASSP but no one except the rip offs were willing to help!.....scandalous!
