Pure gold.
Dear god, I donโt want to write 20 words. Itโs good. Really good. Does someone not know itโs good? Good.

Phyllis Reynolds Naylor would be a good book for 4th grade and 5th graders
I think Shiloh by: Phyllis Reynolds Naylor would be a good book for 4th grade and 5th graders. I think that the theme is excellent and the conflict is exciting. The theme in Shiloh is always treat everyone with compassion. In the text Marty showed compassion by treating an injured dog named Shiloh with kindness. He tried to rescue him from Judd Travers. In addition the conflict was an example of man vs. man. In the story Marty is fighting Judd Travers because he wants to keep Shiloh. Judd Travers is abusing the dog. That is why I recommend this book for for 4th and 5th graders because it has an exciting conflict and a wonderful theme.

It's Hard to Put It Down!
After reading the first Shiloh book, my 11 year old grandson begged me to buy the next book in the series. Unfortunately my grandson is somewhat of a reluctant reader, thus his request of a book to read was music to my ears. He quickly read the book and was eager to have a copy of the third Shiloh book. When I asked my grandson what I should write in the review he said, "Tell them it's a really good book. Girls can read it too, but it's not a girlie book. It's a book that keeps your interest and you might want to read it even when you shouldn't, like in math or science class. The story is full of suspense and you want to keep reading to find out what will happen next". Sounds like a good book to me, especially when it is recommended by a reluctant reader as 'a book you just want to keep reading'

Shiloh, hard work, dedication, and a lil boy's perseverance for his dog!
Shiloh was always one of my faves. I introduced it to my daughter and it ended up her fave book.

he does not like to write
My son is a dog lover and avid reader. However, he does not like to write. He has been writing his "reflections" for school (4th grade) on every Shiloh book he's read. He likes that the "bad guy is slowly getting good." There are lessons to be learned and absorbed. The readability is appropriate...and there's a dog to love. He's going to be sad when he completes reading the series.

Book Review
This book was pretty good, but wasn't as interesting as the first one. The first one had a lot more detail, but this one was great because there was a lot of detail when Judd gets into a car crash! Read Shiloh Season, to find out more about what happens!!!!
