The content of this book is not the sellers fault. I’m rating the seller bc it shipped the same day, condition was just as rated (used book, no damage, etc). I ordered on a Saturday and it arrived Monday. If you are looking at context it’s not very cohesive and is mostly meditations.

An excellent work on a much misunderstood power. I would recommend reading 'Guises of the Morrigan' by David Rankine and Sorita d'Este before it or at least some of the primary texts of Irish mythology if you are not familiar first. But even without that preparation the author does an excellent job explaining the background of his topic. Again, excellent work!

Now that I have finished reading this book I am editing my first review. So here it is: I really hate giving a bad review but there are very few books I find that I first look forward too then find I want to throw at the wall. And this is one of them. It kind of felt since there is now a lot being put out there about the Morrighan that the author just wanted to write something quickly to just get on the band wagon and get his two cents in, without really writting much about the Morrighan in his book at all. When I first ordered this I expected this book to be larger based on what it is said to contain on the back cover, so I was a little disappointed when I got it and saw how thin it was, and that most of the topics are only touched on briefly. I probably should not judge a book based on size, but it is a sign of what is to come when you start reading- there isnt much there. Little ot no real history, and he randomly starts talking and connecting Morrighan to other goddesses. I;d have no problem relating her to other goddesses if there was a reason or a parallel, but at one point it mentions her connection to the earth, then is like oh well here are a bunch of other Celtic earth goddesses that have nothing to do with Morrigan so lets work with them since they are all connected to the earth yah! For example the author connects Morrighan to Cerridwen based on his own personal feelings. Yes they are similar Goddesses but not the same, and there is no connection between them in mythology. There really is a lot of of history to this Goddess, and its sad that it is glossed over in this book. Also there wasn't much info about how to work with her aspects. If you want a more indepth guide I suggest you check out Stephanie Woodfield's book Celtic Lore and Spellcraft of the Dark Goddess: Invoking the Morrigan, which I have to say is excellent. The history/info about her mythology was very brief, at times very vauge, or just plain non-existant. A small paragraph about her role in a given myth just doesnt seem right. If this had been my first book about the Morrighan I really would have been left no really knowing anything about her after reading this. When I came across this book I was happy to see more being written about this goddess but I was just was hoping for more. I honestly could learn more about her by doing a Google search.
