GRIFFIN Black Elan Form Leather Case for iPhone 4 / 4S - GB01763

When i purchased this case, there were only a few user reviews available, but i had a Griffin Elan Form for my iPhone 3G and i was happy with the prodcut, and decided to go with this one.So far i haven't found anything that i don't like about this case.It fits very nicely and tightly to the phone. First i was concerned about the gap between the case and phone, especially where the antenna trim is, but noticed that this case has a extra rubberized layer that keep the phone in place and from moving within. It also protects from dust going in the case and damaging the phone. I had this dust problem with the iPhone 3G case.Gripping the phone with case is more comfortable than without it. All the accessories fit in well with the case on. I had no issue plugging head phones or sync cable. Access to buttons are easy and had no issue at all.Price was good too, compared to buying this from other stores such as Bestbuy or Apple Stores and Apple.comI hope this review helps others make a decision in buying this product.

I bought this case because I've enjoyed Griffin cases before and thought I'd give this one a shot. Their cases are very slim so it's not big and bulky in your pocket and unlike the popular Speck cases, there are no rubber edges on this case so it slides in and out of my pocket with ease.But, the real test came last summer 2012. This is a TRUE story. I was at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ, riding El Toro when the phone fell out of my shorts pocket at the crest of a giant hill on the roller coaster! The phone was returned to lost and found by the end of the day and was barely harmed! They found the phone at another ride, some 400-500 ft away in another area of the park, and the phone was hardly damaged! The screen didn't have a scratch on it and only a minor nick on one of the edges of the metal casing. The only real issue was the camera lense was scratched on the back so I had to replace the back panel at the apple store for $30. Granted, the case shattered on impact but did it's job and protected the phone!I wish they made this case for the iPhone 5 because I would be another one in heartbeat!

If you're like me, you want to have your Iphone in a case at all times. I usualy prefer the soft ruberized cases because they dont slip from your hands or off the console in your car. I took a leap this time and ordered a hard case with a textured back. It fits the phone nicely and has a very comfortable feel(good quality) in your hand. The only thing that would have made it even better is a screen protector included in the sale. Update**Update**Update After using the case for just a few weeks, the leather began to separate from the shell. I tried an at home glue job, but you know how well that works. Looks like I may get about another week or so out of the case before I go back to the Rubber Incipio I started with. So I will get about 6 weeks use for my $17.74 spent. Your experience may be different but buyer beware.

I really loved this cover. That was my first iphone and really liked the look of the case. It slipped my phone many times and thanks to Griffin, it always saved my phone. Only problem is that the leather part slowly comes out, may be after an year of use. I stay in a hot place and its obvious that the gum loses its stickiness. Would recommend others to buy.

Nice looking, low-profile case and it protects my iPhone 4s well. I've dropped it a couple times and the case didn't even scratch.As for the RF protection....well...my testicles are the same size and not cancerous. I don't have a brain tumor and I can still remember my girlfriend's name and where I put my keys...Is it working...mmmm....I'm not a neurosurgeon or a brain specialist so I can't tell.I'm not a doctor, but I would have to say NO to the RF protection. Good case, but the extra $$$ is not worth it as I'm certain it isn't saving my brain cells.Additionally, the signal isn't really improved by the internal antenna from what I've noticed.

I tend to be a very picky person when it comes to cell phone cases. I hate the gel or rubber cases because they stick inside my pocket. Which makes it difficult to pull them out when your phone rings. This case is hard plastic and fits very well. It was exactly what I was looking for but I'm also not very clumsy. If your looking for a clean professional look then I recommend this case. However if you tend to drop your phone a lot then look elsewhere because it doesn't strike me as a very durable or shock resistant case. It simply keeps your phone from getting scratched when it slides on the table.

I was looking for a leather case for my iphone 4 since I have always had leather cases for any and all mobile phones. I came to find out that the iphone 4 design does not lend itself to a quality leather case design. The back of this case is simulated leather while the rest of it is plastic. It lasted about a year until I dropped my phone and caught a corner. A little piece of plastic broke off and the case became useless. It was good while it lasted!

Got my case for my brand new iPhone 4S the same day it came out. 2 weeks later, it still looks brand new. I am having absolutely no problems with the leather staying on or any of those glue issues. If I were to have any issues, however, I would just apply some super glue to keep the leather on. Not an issue at all. The case offers insanely good protection and I feel like my phone is very well protected while I'm using it in the case. And for $5, this is the best case you're going to find by far. It feels like a $30 dollar case.

Eine super Hülle und eine super Oberfläche.Hatte schon öfters den Fall das mir das Smartphone heruntergefallen (privat sowie in der Arbeit) ist und muss sagen - es ist wirklich nie was passiert. Schützen tut die Hülle wirklich 1A.

J'ai retrouvé mon iphone nue, dos au sol ; la coque s'est séparé de lui et elle n'a eu aucunes égratignures.Par conséquent, je crains que cette coque soit efficace que pour un seul choc.. et non un choc du type "escaliers".Contrairement à ce que certains disent, on peut facilement enlever la coque de l'iphone.. C'est pour cela que celle ci s'enlève en cas de choc.

Bonjour, si vous etes entrain de lire c'est que cette coque doit vous intéresser. Je vous la conseille elle est parfaite et protège parfaitement notre petit bijou technologique. Que des avantages pour cette coque mis a part un bémol l'ecran superieur donc celui du tactile s'use sur les bords meme en ayant un film protecteur ce n'est peu etre que mon modele qui a ce defaut de griffer mon écran mais ce n'est pas gênant car sous la coque. Je l'ai acheté a 4€. Ne me demandez pas comment mais ils l'ont augmenté tout simplement. Sur ce bon achat et soyez tranquille

As far as cases goes this provides very good protection fully surrounding the iphone and having a rather nice design (in comparions to one of the cheap plastic cases I got for free due to the deathgrip controversy...which felt cheap and snapped and cracked after a short while of having). Yes this case makes the phone slightly bulkier but for protecting my Iphone from damage I'm not particularly annoyed by this at all. Good product and at a reasonable price.

My husband bought this, at first he was delighted with it, it looks really good on the phone and protects it very well. However now about 2 months in the leather looking part is starting to peel at the corners so it is soon going to look tacky. Probably ok if you don't do manual work and the phone doesn't come in to contact with much. Wouldn't recommend to a construction worker but probably ok for an office worker.
