Excellent program with none of the problems others have incountered.
Have had the Nero Platinum 2015 for 4 days and have most of the features figured out.Everything seems to work as advertized and have had none of the problems so many have had.Blu-ray movies play just fine. Copied half a dozen Blu-ray disks (non encrypted) and no problem there.Copied many DVDs and CDs without issues. My only complaint is the instructions and help is pretty lite and you need to spend some time figuring things out for yourself.Knowing I had to use the keyboard and not my mouse for the commands for playing Blu-ray movies had me hung up for awhile. Pretty easy once I found that out.I was using Nero 12 before this version and many things are pretty much the same, which is nice, but I can do so much more with the Platinum 2015 than I could before.Don't let the negative reviews stop you from buying this program. All the features work just fine on my Windows 7 computer.

Decent, but missing a few options.
Worked well for what I wanted to do, but was missing key elements that I didn't noticed until I was completed editing my video and thus didn't want to re-do the entire thing using another software package. One of these things included the ability to reverse (play backward) a video on the timeline.I had to use a third-party (mercifully free) application to do it. Also, it do not have the ability to normalize audio to take out the extreme changes in volume between clips and between the music and dialog. There was an option to raise and lower the volume on the audio, but I didn't notice any changes when applied. There are other video editing software at the same price that do these things. If I would have done more research, I would have bought one of those instead. Also, it wasn't the most intuitive software either. It took me a while to figure out how to shift items on the timeline without having to move everything over manually. All and all, it did what I wanted it to do and it had good transitions and video effects.

Better Than 2016 and Runs Fine on Window 10
Bought because it works on Windows 10 without issue. Have Nero 12 Platinum, Nero 2014 Platinum and Nero 2016 Platinum in addition to two license for this. As others point out 2016 no longer has a blueray player license. Who cares about 4K etc I have Vegas and other software for that. I'll never buy any edition of Nero newer than 2015 unless and until they put the blueray player back (despite almost never playing them myself) as I have these for HP 800 G1 USDT machines with blueray players as HTPCs. Going to move to HP 800 G1 Minis with no optical drive so no further need for Nero. In actuality I got Nero 12 working fine on Windows 10 Pro without a problem so I really didn't need to upgrade. One thing on the locked down (google Windows 10 STIG - slightly relaxed build of that) build I do the blueray player has to be run as administrator. Thought at first that was broken until I enabled the built-in administrator and it launched fine. Easy to add run as administrator to the shortcut so no issues there. Like most apps the apps on the disc (that was actually cheaper than the download) are old, you can install them but it will require update. The control center sets itself to autolaunch at boot (like Adobe ARM and other pests) which you can kill with autoruns since the updates will be pretty infrequent (like never on this ancient stuff) after the initial install/update. Overall I think Nero is pretty good and not a bad price for a licensed blueray player.

Best Off The Shelf Bruner
Installed with no issues in Windows 7.1 w/ASUS MB and AMD chips. Burned first 10 DVDs without any issues. Used Blue Ray burner and regular LG DVD burner. All came out perfect - all DVDs completely full to the max. 16x write speeds. Had had terrible time with Roxio NX2 on same gear - would burn 1 time then fail every DVD thereafter on both drives - even at 1x write.Nero much more reliable. Been around a LONG time too - they really do know what they are doing. It has more features than I will use - but worth getting for the BL ability and supported formats.

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED
I couldn't be more disappointed in Nero Platinum 2015.In doing a sample .ts file of 136 MB just to see the performance, Here is what I did:Set up to burn a Blu Ray Disc in my Asus Blu Ray Burner.(That burns Blu Rays well)With a FORMATTED Blu Ray RE disc, it said WRONG TYPEWould not burn a Blu Ray Disc Rerecordable at all. With a FORMATTED DVD, said DISC FULL (It was not)(Nero box says . . . ANY DISC FORMAT )Tried burning to a new unformatted DVD-R in the Asus Drive. It was PAINFULLY SLOW. Started at 12:40Says "Transcoding" until 13:39Finally "Burning"Disc ejected at 13:40 ( A full hour for a 136 MB file.)Playing the disc on NERO player, the audio is CHOPPY and not understandable.Played on the VLC player, the audio is OKWindows Media Player can not play it at all.Same result using the PCs DVD Drive (Not Blu Ray)Stand-alone SONY Blu Ray Player says the disc is a DATA DISC and won't play.Philips DVD player won't load the disc. Locked up. Had to power down toremove the disc from the player. As I have said, I am totally disappointed in the product.I have applied to Amazon to return NERO Platinum 2015 for credit.TREAD AT YOUR OWN PERIL..
