Cork coasters.
I have bought these before, they are great. I always have ice in my water and have damaged many a surface, until I found these. Would highly recommend.

IKEA cork coasters
I purchased these coasters to match the ones that came with some mugs I bought from Ikea. They're good quality and look nice but I think they're overpriced for what they are and you'd probably get them cheaper from Ikea; however I don't live local to one.

You only get one coaster!!!!!
Very misleading - ordered two packs of these thing that there would be 4 in each - only received two coasters!! The most expensive two coasters I have ever bought. Deliberately misleading - absolutely not ok.
