Indestructible Bible ๐จ alert
Ok so I want to start off the review by saying WOW! Bardin and Marsee you have engineered not only a waterproof bible but the greatest printed printed book in the entire history of printed books! Not only is it waterproof but it is also adhesive proof (E6000, Iโm looking at you), solvent proof (props to GooGone for taking off a whole small tube of E6000), idiot proof ( Iโm the idiot), and yes water proof! This all started because of YouTube, and videos of people making leather bible covers! I tend to be a late night tinker and said shoot I am gonna learn to do leather tool craft and got a nice piece of genuine cowhide (Springfield Leather bam son, awesome stuff and you will be getting more of my money) a leather tool set and the above listed awesome Indescribably resilient Waterproof.. no nigh Indestructible Bible in camo.So I set myself up in my mad science workshop(I.E the kitchen counter! - Review on Corian coming in the future!) and steady myself to start making an wonderful leather hand tooled cover for my auspicious leather/bible project! I had a great time making the first ever hand tool leather anything! I had in my early years made bonded leather projects with chamois, old jackets, suede anything and liquid nail or any other caulking gun tube style adhesive (quivers for arrows, arm braces, a sketch book, etc...) Well that wasnโt gonna cut it this time as I was really making something out of leather that would be epic and awesomely outstanding! So I hit up my local Michaels... Jill and the gang are wonderful, purchased some leather dye, gold lettering kit, a rolling pin, some manly looking craft paper with a outdoorsy floral pattern AND E6000! ๐คฆโโ๏ธThis was the demise of my project I just hadnโt realized my folly yet! I took my carefully crafted leather cover (very excited how it turned out) scored the fold lines inside to JOIN/BOND the Waterproof Bible! Well I carefully, yes and following the directions of the E6000 tube, smeared a layer onto the inside lay lines of the cover and set the Bible into place before carefully applying another layer to the opposing side laying on the red lace place marker and then stacking books, cast iron gym weights and a bag of jasmine rice onto the newly leather covered bible! Where I the left the entire pile of items for 3 days, the maximum time limit stated by E6000!!, to dry!!!Well it was a total disaster! 1). E6000 was not dry2) the cover and inside outer most page was actually rippled and no where near flat and had honestly become curled and closely resembled a topo map with the peaks and valley that now covered the cover of the Bible and were visible through the SL 5-6 oz cowhide shoulder. Oh heck no son!!! No on my time, I was no where. Eat happy! So I set about way to correct my issues! To spare the drone of too long a review with arbitrarily unimportant details Iโll jump to the end ....I ended up peeling the uncured and still tacky E6000 covered cover from the Bible! Totally dismayed with the state of my now un-epic and not wonderful project staring back at me set about trying to clean up the mess! I grab some goo gone and cleaned the leather cover with a paint scraper and scotch brite pad. Now that was done I was scratching my head about the Bible! Surely it was going to be thrown out after I cussed myself for wasting money on this Bible only to ruin it with glue! Well I grabbed a small very bendy paring knife and started scraping the glue off! I then said go big or go home and soaked the cover front and back with goo gone!!! Surely this will ruin the already miserable book .... but I scraped all the glue off the cover with the same paring knife! The Camo cover was not spared but as I continued to clean the pages and hard synthetic plastic cover got all the gunk off and then actually rinsed off the goo gone from the Bible in my sink! Aside from the camo finish that was destroyed, see attached photos, but the cover, pages, words and everything was fine and good as new! I then dried the Bible by squeezing the water out and setting it up dry out!Long story short do not buy this Bible with the intention of torture testing it because this book is the Glock of durable books!I will shelve the leather cover plans for now and just by the Waterproof Bible faux leather cover from Bardin and Marsee !Thanks for the wonderful and extremely durable bible!

The most important book you will ever purchase.
This book is the most important book you will ever purchase in this lifetime. Nothing is more important than this. This one is waterproof and therefore worth every penny. I have no regrets about making this purchase.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CHALLENGE
I had the kids in my sunday school class compete for waterproof bibles by who could memorize the most verses over a period of time without skipping a week. The boy who one this Bible was soooooo excited. I demonstrated to the class how waterproof it was by dumping a cup of water over the opened bible and letting it run off into a sink. They thought it was the coolest thing. Couple of things to be aware of. Highlighters will not work on this bible. You can use dry highlighters but not liquid. Gel pens will not work either. You can use a ball point pen but give it time to dry. If you are camping with this bible and you managed to freeze it, allow it to thaw before you open it. The pages are each made of paper thin plastic and will snap if you try to manipulate them while open. Also because it is completely made of plastic keep it away from anything too hot, it can melt. If you drop ketchup or another staining item on this bible wipe it off promptly with water. Do not use a cleaning chemical, if you use a cleaning chemical the stain will be removed AS WELL AS the printed words. But go ahead read this in your pool or bathtub without worry!!!The review about someone having a misprinted bible was an issue the publisher had with a batch of bibles that has since been remedied

Just as I wantedโก God Bless
I am so happy to have a water proof Bible, I'm a super clumsy person so It's nice that I can take this Bible everywhere and know that it wont get ruined if I dropped my things in a puddle, or spill a drink, or have a water bottle bust open in my bag.I'm thinking about adding a different cover to it so that it straps close so that I dont ruin the binding and slip it into my purse without the possibility of the pages folding.I'm so happy I finally got one of these, for real. Now I should go get a water proof pen to write my name on it

I like this Bible since it is waterproof
I like this Bible since it is waterproof. The pages feel soft and strong. The pages are bit thicker than a normal Bible. There was one page that was slightly folded when the printer cut it, so upon unfolding it the corner stuck up a few millimeters but I trimmed the page with an x-acto knife so it was not to big of an issue that I would have sent it back to get a replacement. The print is a bit small but this is the only way to make the Bible as thin as it can be since the pages are slightly thicker. I would recommend a few things that would for improve: 1) Have a thicker cover. I bought one of the zippered water proof covers (https://www.bardinmarsee.com/p-134-waterproof-bible-jacket-zippered.aspx) and it slightly bends where the cover and sleeve meet and a thicker cover would hinder this from eventually damaging it.. 2) Make it a red letter Bible (Jesus' words in red).

Everything I need, nothing I don't
Boy I sure wish these types of books would catch on. These are exactly what they claim... plastic pages, black print, pretty heavy (heavier than paper, methinks) and waterproof. Can you read it in the rain? Yes, but surface tension will cause the pages to stick together, possibly causing damage. The advantage of these Bibles, to me, is they are infinitely more durable than paper in most regards... they will last (in theory) forever unless exposed to excessive UV or heat. Moisture and dampness will not affect these long term. A total soak may render the bible temporarily useless until dried... again, be careful with heat (manufacturers warning)I have one of these in my survival gear, so does the fiance, and we will be getting new testament versions for the kids (smaller/lighter).One suggestion: invest in a decent nylon cover, mine is zippered, to protect your bible. My new outdoor read!

Great Waterproof Bible, but not a Pure Cambridge Edition (Circa 1900) KJV.
I have been using this bible for a quite a while now, and have enjoyed it. Its made from 100% plastic, so it is nice and waterproof, and I enjoy the outdoors quite a lot, and really enjoy the fact that I can read this without worry. The nice camo pattern is great, but it stratches off really easily, so I would recommend a Bible Cover if you wish to preserve that look for as long as possible.I'm dissapointed to later find out to my knowledge after reading more into the bible, it is full of typographical errors, for it is not a Pure Cambridge Edition (Circa 1900) KJV. If you do not mind that fact, this bible is still a great read, and does not contain any paraphrases or major changes to doctrine, like most modern english bibles are today. The glue binding is also coming apart in less than a year, of pretty heavy everyday use, but that is not a problem, because I plan on re-binding the bible later on to last much longer, considering the inside pages are what will last more than a lifetime, due to them being protected from outside friction, and made of pure plastic. The book dries off with a towel nicely, and I don't like to write in the bible, because I prefer a clean look, but beware to allow pen ink, or other inks to dry properly before closing the book, otherwise it will smear onto the other pages as well.Anyways, hope this is helpful, God Bless, and have a wonderful day.

My WATERPROOF Holy Bible KJV (my sword) is here!!!
PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR THE LATENESS OF MY AMAZON PRODUCT REVIEW. ๐๐๐ I RECEIVED THIS HOLY BIBLE KJV LAST YEAR IN 2018Have you ever been sitting outside, just sitting there, reading a great book, when all of a sudden, BANG, instant downpour?! And what's worse, is your book is now garbage because the pages are soaked and totally ruined beyond repair?! Well, when it comes to THIS great book, The Holy Bible KJV version, you'll no longer have to worry over that!! Each page is DEFINITELY constructed from very durable and highly synthetic material(s).Unfortunately, I can't report back to you fine people about the durability of the waterproof book, (I was SOOOO careful as to NOT get The Holy Bible wet) nor can I speak of it's NO bleed through pages (my mom taught me from young on up AND in her own way, not to write in a Holy Bible; that's what scribblers or notepads were invented for). But I'm still happy and satisfied with my purchase. NO buyer's remorse here!!! ๐๐ Thank you kindly Bardin & Marsee Publishing, for putting a smile on my face, a song in my heart, and a MIGHTY sword in my hands!!!

Mixed Feelings
A waterproof Bible is something everyone needs. The one I purchased is the right size and weight, the typeface is very clear, the pages are silky and very pleasant to touch. The Bible contains nothing but the text itself with no descriptions in the header of each page like it appears in most of the Bibles. The page layout is however the WORST in this very edition. There are many so called 'widows' and 'bastards', i.e. chapter headings with numbers at the very bottom of a page with the chapter body itself in the following column or even overleaf. It gives the impression the entire book has been set in a simple word processor and not with the help of professional layout software. I will probably try to heal that flaw manually by inserting chapter headings each in its proper place using a black ballpoint pen and a script similar in size and form to the computer font used in the Bible.

Love it
I'm quite satisfied with the quality of this Bible.Pros:What I needed was a KJV Bible and it had to be durable, and I could carry it wherever I go so I could read the scripture. And it meets my expectation. Though It's made to be tough, so far I'm quite careful at handling it. But yes I dropped it once on the floor, and folded some pages accidentally and it turned out to be perfect okay. Haven't trying highlighting but I'm going to do it anyway (I have another Bible for that purpose). I brought it outside in -20C and the pages were okay as well.Cons:To me it's a bit large in size to carry. Sometimes I find it awkward to read when walking, a smaller size may work better (I had one but it was lost so I got this one instead). The pages of the book is quite soft, i.e., I have to hold it carefully with my palm in order to read. Flexibility is its strength but I think sometimes I do need hard-covers so I can easily hold it and read.I think it's an almost perfect Bible for me for scripture reading and love it very much so far. I just started to use it so let's see it will survive the test of time in my tough life. I'll post more comments then. May God bless us all with his divine inspiration in His everlasting word.

It is beautiful
I forget that it is not paper. It is robust. The font is fine. The pages look so pristine and clear. The text is spaced out so it is easy on the eye and not bunched together. It may be slightly heavier than the paper version but this is negligible. It is waterproof. It really feels like a quality product and definitely my favourite. It is easier to read in low lighting that a standard paper version. The company should do a concordance in the same style - that would be perfect.
