Manufactured using the highest quality material and techniques, Le Creuset stoneware offers much greater resistance to extreme temperature changes. The tough craze-free glass is totally hygienic – it will not absorb food or flavours and is stain and scratch resistant and has an easy clean finish. Hygienic: The smooth enamelled surface is scratch resistant and makes for fast, easy cleaning. The totally hygienic cooking surface will not absorb odours or flavours. Perfect for storing foods (raw or cooked) in the refrigerator or freezer. Will clean easily by hand or by dishwasher if used in accordance with our care and use. Stoneware Care and Use: Do not use any piece on cooker hobs or any other direct heat source. When in the oven a maximum oven temperature of 260 degrees Celsius or 500 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend using Le Creuset oven mitts for lifting hot dishes at all times. When using under a grill allow a gap between the rim of the dish and the heat source of no less than 6 ½ cm / 2 ½ inches. When using in a microwave handles may become hot during prolonged microwave use and especially if the handles are enclosed with cling film. Cover just the open top of the dish leaving the handles exposed. When using from the freezer to oven do not place a frozen dish of food in a pre-heated oven. Place the frozen dish in a cold oven and set the temperature, allowing the dish and oven to heat together. Before serving always check that the centre of the food is completely and uniformly hot. Cleaning: Before use wash the dish in hot soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. For most day-to-day cleaning, cool the dish for a few minutes then wash and dry as above, or wash in the dishwasher, allowing the full cycle to complete. Never leave a dish fully immersed in water. For removal of stubborn residues allow the dish to cool, fill with warm soapy water and allow it to soak for 10 – 20 minutes. Wash in the usual way using, if necessary, a plastic brush or scouring pad. Le Creuset Guarantee: Le Creuset is proud of the workmanship in its products and guarantees its Stoneware cookware, from the date of purchase, for 5 years. Review: Excellent, especially for making yoghurt. - Excellent bowl. Pours very well and is a handy size. Heats up fine in the microwave (the handle remains totally cool). I make home made yoghurt and it's very hard to find a good jug that is not plastic (if you don't use UHT milk, you need to heat up the milk to about 80°C and let it cool and I don't want to do that in a plastic container). Further, the three lines on the side are very useful as they mark (respectively) 90cl, 1l and 2 pints. If making yoghurt from another yoghurt you need to pour the milk up to the first line, if making it from ferments, to the second. I am so happy with them and they are so useful (also not bad to look at) that I bought two of these bowls. One thing to be wary of: the weight of the bowls can vary quite a bit. Mine are about 1150g, which is fine. I had one which arrived broken and it weighed 1350g, so about 15-20% more. When full it makes a difference. So if your bowl feels a bit heavy, weigh it!

Many uses for this kind of durable dish. Would recommed for those, who cook and need a generous size mixing jug, which can also be displayed in the kitchen with pride. My future daughter in law praises this jug and uses it daily.

Good sized jug. We make a lot a pancakes and Yorkshire puds & this makes pouring the mixture very easy, no drips! It's large enough to whip up muffins and small cake mixtures in. The pretty teal colour adds an element of joy. I got the matching medium spatula as well which just seems to work very efficiently. I never knew there were spatulas and there were spatulas (had a sheltered life).
