Durable and perfect size for little ears
Great product for my kids! I am giving this a 5 star for durability and volume control. These were delivered from "Santa" and we have given these lots of use for the last 7 months. My car came with factory bluetooth headphones and I felt my kids (3 & 6 years old) could possibly break them, plus I wanted a volume limiter set in the headphones. I was a little worried the volume limiter might make it hard to hear in the car from freeway noise, but honestly they are surprisingly loud while on the highest volume. The volume is easy to control in my car where the kids can't even touch it, but I would be concerned if the kids were on their tablets with these as they have easy access to adjust the volume. That being said I am thankful they have the limiter considering headphones without the limiter could really damage their ears.We got a blue pair and pink pair and the kids absolutely loved the color and the size for theirs ears. They are adjustable and and don't slip out of place once expanded. My daughter did throw hers down on the floor of the car while they were still expanded and she accidentally stepped on them while getting out of the car, surprisingly they didn't snap in half, but the plastic did bend and left a small tear. We will have to baby them more now in order for them to not completely snap in half, but like I say they were stepped on and it taught her a lesson to be more careful.I like that the cord it comes with has a threaded covering to protect it. The length is great for the car. I have a large SUV and the cord connects down near the ground and the kids sit elevated in carseats and the cord still has plenty of slack. My 3 year old son did chew on his cord (little beaver chews on everything) and eventually the cord quit working. I easily bought a nice replacement cord on amazon. We've had no issues since, plus to teach him a lesson I made him go without headphones for a month and he has yet to beaver chew the new cord! Yea!I also love that under each earpiece has an input jack so the kids don't need a splitter if sharing a tablet or ipod. Thanks for making a great product!

Good product, GREAT customer service.
After reading through a few dozen very positive reviews on these headphones, I decided it was worth a few extra bucks if I could get a little mileage out of some headphones, while saving my sanity by not having to listen to The Nightmare Before Christmas for the 100th time on loop in the back of my minivan (no, it's not age-appropriate, but it hasn't caused any nightmares so it's probably OK) because the headphones that came with the swanky entertainment system were heavy and would fall off my littlest's head. The product arrived in the promised Prime time, and out of the box I was immediately impressed with the quality. "These will last, I'm sure of it", though my girls are 3 and 5, and their favorite possessions take the beating you'd expect from a 3 & 5 year old. They were delighted with the weight, sound quality, and colors, and I was delighted to listen to the news or a CD from time to time, or (more often) blissful silence, and eventually I stopped waking up with "This is Halloween" running through my head in my 8th month of pregnancy. You can imagine my frustration when, after a little less than 3 months, I was again listening to Jack Skellington crooning his existential woes. It's a great movie, but I know it back to front and I need quiet sometimes. Sitting up nursing a newborn at 2:52am on a Sunday, I decide to test this great customer service I'd read so much about when shopping for the headphones - I'm awake anyway, an email from my iPhone won't cost me anything. I sketch out my issue and shoot an email to LilGadgets thinking I'm wasting my time - but a few hours later (on a SUNDAY) I have a very polite email from Stephanie in Customer Service asking a few reasonable questions to confirm whether the issue is the wire or the headphone, asking for the batch code on the pair I bought, and confirming my mailing address, which must have been acquired from Amazon. It took me a while to turn around the answers to Stephanie's questions, approximately 2 weeks I think, because I'm busy and could procrastinate professionally, during which Stephanie politely (not irritatingly) followed up with me to ensure I was aware that my issue was a priority and I wasn't being ignored, and that she wanted to make the situation right. Once we'd exchanged a few emails, which were always answered promptly, clearly and in a friendly professional manner (never mind clear English, which I always appreciate), the headphones were replaced - I was shocked. I'm typically not one to complain, or to write reviews, and did so this time chiefly because I was awake at 2:52am and couldn't do much about it. I am 100% satisfied with the product, in spite of the temporary issue, and most pleasantly surprised by and appreciative of the company that stands by their product. The new headphones are excellent, my girls are pleased, and I'm back to listening to my own thoughts or those of various AM station talking heads in the car rather than a kids movie.

Really good headphones for a 4 year old
So we just opened these up and started testing them after having given them as a birthday gift to our little one. She loves them. I particularly like the fact that they have the built in volume limiting and they work great with the iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy 3 tab and an iPod. The pass through with the second plug to "share" the audio is a great feature, that let us see exactly how loud it got so we understood the volume limiting. I personally love it. The sound quality is good, not great/fantastic, but it's perfect for a 4 year old who doesn't have as a discerning ear for quality. They do not have a lot of bass, which I particularly like for little kids. I would give this a 5 star rating, but we haven't put them through a durability/torture test yet.The thing I really liked about these are they are made of soft plastic on the outside (it seems they would hold up after a 3 ft drop a couple of times, which is definitely going to happen. They fit our little one perfectly (they are a gift for her 4th birthday) and she loves the color. They also came with a nice little pouch she can put them in and put the pouch in her backpack. The cord it came with is a flexible nylon cable, perfect for not snagging on the leather couch, and "sliding" more than "catching" on things.I've owned all sorts of headphones and earbuds (shure, beats, seinheiser, klipsch, sony, hk) so I know a quality set of headphones. These sound better than I expected they would for the cost and the target market. I'm pleased with the product, hopefully they last a couple of years...BTW I don't expect headphones of any sorts to last more than 2-5 years if you travel with them a lot.
