crazy good yeast
As an all rounder this is a good yeast to use, especially if like me you are new to homebrewing. It is tolerant of a wide temperature range.I use it to make slightly stronger ciders and it delivers. When making wine I've found that you really have to keep an eye on the fermentation and stop the process early otherwise you get a wine that to me is to strong in alcohol, although drinkable it destroys the taste.Definitely would recommend buying this yeast.

Great yeast for brewing wine or mead
I've used this yeast for years for brewing Mead. It's tolerant of higher alcohol content and a wide range of temps, so it's great for brewing in scotland, where it's glorious sun one day and snow the next.It cam take time even with nutrient unless you do 1 sachet per gallon. I ussualy go for 1 sachet per 2-3 gallons and get a good fermentation after a couple of months. Typically around 8 - 14 percent depending on what recipe i use. This yeast can give strong alcohol just make sure your must is well aerated, if not it will crawl at a snails pace. The yeast also rakes off well once fermentation slows. It is very prone to 2nd fermentation after bottling so i recommend using a neutraliser to kill the remaining yeast and stop fermentaion. You can add sugar to bottles to make it sparkling and not stop the fermentaion, just be careful. I have had glass bottles explode from this before. But if you have added a fermentation stopper such as potassium sorbate you will be fine.Taste wise it is a champagne or wine yeast so it's not intended for beer and doesn't give a strong flavour, instead it's a lighter flavour that works well in white wines or fruit wines also.Value wise you get what you pay for and it's worth every sachet

It works
Used to make elderflower champagne, strawberry and elderflower champagne and plum champagne. They have all now been bottled and hopefully we willhave some good champagne in 6-12 months

Consistent, reliable yeast strain
Needed some of this yeast in a hurry for some apfelwine - great price and quick delivery from this seller. If you're knocking up any country wines, this stuff is great - consistently quick hydration rate, and starts the airlock bubbling frantically inside of an hour or two. Doesn't negatively affect flavour profiles of the finished wine, tolerates a high alcohol content (it takes my raisin wine to an easy 15% abv), and is very good at producing a crisp, dry cider, too.Great stuff.

Yummy wine
We used these to make some wine from a mixture of grapes from our garden. The wine settled nicely (not cloudy), was quite strong and we didn't go blind.

Incredible
Unbelievable how good this yeast is, across a wide temperature range. Did a fantastic job. Keep in the fridge until you use though. Was very quick but I did use a whole 5g packet across 2 gallons.

Yeast is not active
The yeast is unusable.Few weeks ago I've purchased this item and had zero issues. Needed more so I've purchased again but this time, every single one out of 5 sachets is dead. There is no yeast activation. Very disappointing
