Nice little night lights with the added feature of battery back-up in case of power outages!
Picked up several of these to replace some others (might have been from the early 2000's!) that didn't hold a charge for the power outages/flash light feature. These are were the only brand I could find that had the power outage feature I was hoping to get. These are really nice and bright, really help those dark hallways/areas that could use a little light to get around/find the light switch. These have come in handy for power outages or/and a quick grab flashlight. The light isn't much more than a cell phone flash light, but that's all that's needed to those dark areas in emergency and non-emergency. Works well:Simply plug in, and it'll charge up - mine came pre-juiced a bit!Battery life:Seems to be pretty good, have yet to run out in the short needed uses. The batteries from older units lasted almost a decade, hoping these will go 5-10 years but not expecting that (nothing made these days lasts long). Look:Decent clean look, nice that the plug tucks away if used as a flash light - works well upright or facing down. Ease of installation:Simple plug in.

BRIGHT!
This is the greatest thing, a night light that stays on even when the power goes out. Isn't that when you need it the most? Throw in the fact that it's also a flashlight when you need it and you have the preppers dream light.Speaking of light, this thing is very bright. Almost too bright. It runs cool, turns itself on and off and is there when I need it the most - when the power goes out. I moved it to the base of the stairs so it's not shining under my bedroom door. It's perfect!

Works very well, reordered
I bought more of them. After a power outage they work great. You can find your way around your home to find your emergency lights without being totally blind in the dark. I have some low power lights in every room, but they're plug ins. I also have power banks I can plug them into. That will work for about four hours for each power bank. And a couple of power banks will work for about a day because they're battery operated and I can change batteries. As long as I have batteries. But if I can't find my way around, I'm not likely to use them but just stay in one spot for fear of tumbling down the stairs. These lights are a life saver. They've never felt even slightly warm. The LED is a bit "cold white" but I can stand that. I put one at the top of the stairs, one at the bottom and one near every door exit. The one I use most is the one in the bathroom because it's just in the best spot avoiding hazards. Been through two power outages with them now. What I do is, I replace the plug with one of those multiple outlets with USB slots, plug a low power LED light into the USB, use one of the regular slots for the emergency light, and I still have more places to plug other things in. I still have to get the battery packs and recharged power banks collected in one place, but that's because I use them for other things too, especially during holidays for decorations. But the little night light emergency lights are a staple part of the plan to keep safe.

Not bad. Have yet to use it for a longer time
The media could not be loaded. I needed to have this placed on an outlet near a door frame. The GE nightlight is just the right width though the door frame blocks the switch on the side of it, But also I found out I could put the nightlight upside down to remedy that.I intend to use the light so that it is not so dark in the small hallway area to the bathroom.Pro(s): The night light seems to have two different intensities. One brighter than the other. The night light part is basically a "Soft white" rather than "Cool white" which is good as Cool White would or could be too strong for a night light. The flashlight function is also good should there be a power outage or if you need to just be able to access a flashlight quickly and you just have to reach for the light on the power outlet.Con(s): Or potential con(s): The flashlight is essentially like that of a desk lamp. The light does not "Beam" a straight light (or not so much). Still it seems good enough for general use and definitely would be useful in a power outage.Another potential con is that if you plug in the item and try to set it to the higher-intensity night light it just defaults to the lower intensity night light.Still I would recommend this item.I have yet to use it on a longer term basis. I would not know how long lasting it is or how rugged it is.I will update my review according to my findings.

Works well
Works well. Flashlight is bright and it came charged. The difference between the lower and higher power nightlight setting is subtle.

Nice Night Light
Purchased for my elderly father and they work great. He says he can see in the night and not be blinded by the brightness

Power failure tested!
I purchased this little light about 9 months ago. We use it in the kitchen to provide light without turning on overheads and disturbing anyone. It took my husband a little while to get used to the brightness, but I thought it was perfectly bright enough. This past week, we had near-100-mph wind gusts from a derecho. We were without power for a couple of days, and this light worked like a champ. I didn't leave it on constantly—it was used mainly for trips to the bathroom or to find things in the dark—but it performed well over several days without a charge. I love that you can toggle between brightness settings and light functions when it is not plugged in. Good value for the money, and I am going to buy another.EDIT:I made good on my word to purchase a second light later in 2022. We were without power again for 10 days, and both little lights were champs throughout. They charged easily via the generator we used, providing light into the night. They needed charged almost daily, but that could have been because they were getting used quite often after the sun went down. Here we are, at the end of 2023, and both lights are still going strong plugged into the wall as everyday nightlights, ready if the power goes out again.
