Also driftwood and catappa leaves. Populated with four male Endlers, five Ember Tetras, and several nerite and ramshorn snails. One of the Endlers was infected. I purchased Microbe-Lift, switched out the carbon filter cartridge for plain aquarium filter floss, changed one-quarter of the water, and then added a half tablespoon of Microbe-Lift to the tank. The treatment is recommended for three weeks, but I did it for four just to be on the safe side (anchor worm life cycle lasts up to 25 days). Did a partial water change every week and added another half tablespoon of Microbe-Lift each time. Sadly, the infected Endler didn’t survive, but one month later there isn’t an anchor worm to be found. So, i grabbed the biggest fish (mine are small) and tweezed it off--sure enough it was dead-slippery goo!!
