That can be confusing. This Little Get Ready!TM book is jam packed with activities to help your little learner understand how to tell time. Its 48 pages of real-world problems, give kids big practice reading digital and analog clocks and making connections between the two. Activities in this Tell Time book such as choosing "what time is the same as eight forty-five" from among three clock faces or drawing lines between a digital time display and its matching analog clock face will soon make your child an "old hand" at telling time. Additionally, the small size of the book is ideal for letting your kids learn and have fun on the go! Review: Good for schooling - This was perfect for keeping my five year old son on point with time keeping Review: Small but enjoyable for young kids - I'm a retired teacher who is tutoring a 6-year-old in reading and math, and her parents wanted her to start to learn to tell time. This was the perfect little workbook for her to reinforce her new skills after we first practiced on an old clock. The graphics are cute and there aren't too many exercises on a page so she wasn't overwhelmed. Some reviewers complained about the small size of the book, but I liked it. The inside sections are well organized and it's easy to travel with. There's a lot of repetition in the exercises but that's what little ones need when learning something brand new. It's ideal for a first or second grader, especially when accompanied by an actual clock for the child to manipulate.

Works for us
I needed something short and sweet to practice reading the clock each day in school. This fit the bill. We already completed Kumon's 2 clock workbooks for the teaching side of things before using this as a review to follow up that learning.

It is a very basic book which requires only a tiny bit of reading
I read that many schools are no longer teaching how to read analog clocks. I think it's a relatively easy skill to learn and this book makes it simple. The book teaches how to read on the hour times: 1:00, 2:00 -12:00. Then it teaches half hours, 1:30 - 12:30. Then it shows quarter past ________ and quarter to ___________. It finishes with 5 to 45 minutes past or to the correct hour. Students read 1:45 and have to draw the hands on the clock or they see the clock and have to write what dime it is, This is so easy to do that an older sibling or parent to help them if they can't read the directions are all that's needed. I purchased an analog Super Mario clock for my grandson's room which I'll give to him once he knows time to the quarter hour. The book it self is a flip notebook style and it's suggested for ages 6-8. I like this book so much that I'll look into more things they sell.

Repetitive
Itโs basically the same activities over and over. When school got canceled I decided to order some extra help books for my 10 year old in the subjects he struggles in. Being autistic he does have some delays and is obsessed with time. This does help but itโs the same thing over and over.
