This is just a fantastically cute dress. I bought this for my seven-year-old daughter for her 50's sock hop. The dress was nice quality overall. I did feel that the belt that came with it looked a little cheep when you handled it but it isn't that noticeable when it is on. My daughter is very skinny so the belt didn't fit her it was too big, but once again the belt isn't really necessary for the outfit. Also, you could go buy another belt if you prefer and raise the quality level even more. The accessories of an outfit are what always raises its quality level. The skirt comes with a black tutu that goes underneath the dress and has white polka-dots at the bottom of it. It is very cute but we felt the dress need a little more fluff to be authentic to the 50's look and feel. It was a simple fix we just put one of her other tutus underneath the one that came in the package. I added a photo and you will notice from the pic we didn't add the belt because she was too skinny for it. You will also notice it still looked great. You will not be disappointed with the dress.

My granddaughter was thrilled with the poodle dress. I like the fact that it is one piece to look like the traditional skirt & blouse. This one has has a 1.5” black belt that Velcros in the back. The dress came wrinkled as one should expect but hanging it up for a while should pull the few wrinkles out of the dress. The can-can slip will require some steam to get the wrinkles out of it. The can-can is mad of traditional mesh which is stiff & it hangs below the skirt as shown in the picture. The dress is made of a silky top & medium weight felt skirt. My granddaughter loved the glasses & had to wear them immediately out to eat. There was a package of felt letters each about 1” tall to be used to be attached to the dress dip as an initial. Cute. Size wise.. my granddaughter usually wears a size 7-8 in girls clothing. I bought the large & it fit fine. ....hit just at or below the knees. However, my granddaughter is very slinder A heavier child might have to go up a size but the size descriptions were pretty close to norm.

Really cute outfit. Wish it would have come with glasses as that would have made it well worth the money. The dog print (versus a true appliqué), belt and polyester cheapened the outfit a bit, but overall, I think it looked pretty adorable. My daughter wore this for 50s day in her 1st grade class. She is a tall 6 year old, so I purchased the Medium. The belt was a bit large on her, but, the dress itself was a good fit. This will probably fit my daughter for at least another year or two. I was able to iron on the letter without melting the dress. I used a thin towel on the inside of the dress. I also placed a towel over the letter I was ironing on. This seemed to work well enough in controlling the heat and preventing anything from melting. My daughter loved that the dress was individualized to her. BTW, if you're looking for saddle shoes, I found a neat Pinterest tip that worked for me. Take some Ked-style canvas shoes and paint the middle portion black...realistic enough for a costume!

I was very impressed with the quality of this item. This is a much higher quality than your run of the mill Halloween costume that will only make it through the trick or treat route, if that. I ordered a small (6-8) for my six year old because I was afraid the 4-6 would be too small. I should have sized down for a better fit, but even though this is too big it will last a good while so she will be able to use it as she gets bigger. She loves it and won't take it off! This photo does not show all of the pieces. There is also a belt and bow and a monogram. The costume comes with all of the letters and you can iron on the one you want. The underskirt with the ruffle is made of a stiff netting and will be scratchy. You'll definitely want your kiddo to wear some tights or stretch pants underneath if you want them to keep it on. Although the dress is totally wearable being too big, the underskirt required some safety pins in the waistband to keep it up. Overall, I am extremely satisfied.

Insanely adorable. My girl is a size large 10-12 in all Cat and Jack and like brands. This fit perfect. And is beyond adorable. The petticoat, the scarf, and the monogram initial is just the icing on the cake!!!! Buy it! It’s perfect!

Perfect size! Only thing I was not happy about that it did not a the letter K on the top that was a big reason was I picked this outfit!

Descent outfit, a little pricey for the quality, but it will do for our needs

Fit like a glove, good quality and my daughter is very happy with her Halloween costume. She's 8, so choose a larger size than she usually wears.
