The largest I could find at HomeDepot was a 3/8" x 8" and the eye was bent, meaning there is a small gap, rather than completely closed as in this case. 8" was a bit too long for my needs so I tried this screw even though I found 5/8 to be a bit of an overkill and the price a bit excessive. I didn't want to go shorter than 4" though. BTW: The 4" is the distance from the tip to the bottom of the ring, so you can screw this 4" into the surface you are attaching it to.Beware that you will need appropriately sized tools and accessories. A pilot hole into hard wood is likely to need a 7/16 or Β½" drill bit, which will not fit into most regular cordless drills (which usually only accept up to 3/8" drill bits). If you plan to use a quick link to attach something to the eye of the screw, it will have to be a Β½" one as even the 3/8" won't open wide enough. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beast! *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on April 26, 2013* This is a beast! Do not be concerned by 4" length. It is big, thick, and hefty and has 3500 lbs rating. I am using a pair of these as anchors for my zipline and I feel completely confident that these will hold. I looked for eye screws at home improvement stores but even their biggest ones are flimsy compared to these. I also like the completely enclosed eye because there's no chance my turnbuckle can come loose even if the cable is bouncing up and down with kids playing on it.I can think of using some more of these to build a treehouse in the future.
