GLS Audio Instrument Cable, 20 Ft Electric Guitar Cable, Braided Black/Grey

I have been using these instrument cables for years on stage and in the home, primarily for guitar-to-amp applications. The following summarizes the experiences I've had: Other reviewers mentioned it, but the first thing you will notice when you recieve this cable is the quality and care that GLS puts into it. From the thick fabric jacket, to the cord wraps that come with it, it presents itself as top quality. It also looks great! The next thing you will notice as you unrap your new cord for the first time is that (in my experience) it DOES NOT TANGLE. A 20' stage cord, that does not tangle? Talk about saving time during set up, and it is one less thing to worry about! Next, you will plug this cable in, and instantly notice a new sound out of your amplifier. SILENCE. In the years that I've used these cables I have not had any issues with buzzing. That is something that I cannot say for cables I've used in the past, and I am extremely grateful for it; especially when I'm performing or recording! As for sound, Paul Reed Smith believes that the best instruments are non-subtractive, as in they project almost all of the feeling and energy that is put into them. It is important to note that when you are performing, your cable is the only line of communication between your instrument and your amplifier. You need the cable to be non-subtractive too, to deliver the clearest, truest sound to your audience. This cable does just that. The last thing to note about these cables is the durability. After five years of regular use, I still have the first one I purchased, and it still works great. If it ever does break, I can come back and buy more for a fraction of the price of a comparable instrument cable. If you are looking for a great cable at a great price, congratulations: you found it!

Let me start by saying that I am new to the guitar and this is my first instrument cable. I checked the local guitar store and on line and read many cable reviews thinking that I needed to purchase an expensive cable to get the sound/build quality that I wanted. I learned about GLS Audio Cables while searching on Amazon and was initially attracted to the brand because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews of all of their cables. At $12.99 for the 15’ - 1/4 Inch TS to 1/4 Inch TS Brown Yellow Tweed Cloth Jacket cable I figured what did I have to loose, and when it arrived I was certainly not disappointed. The first thing you notice when you receive the cable is the quality and care that went into its construction. From the fabric jacket, to the cord wraps that come with it, it presents itself as top quality and it looks great with my Yamaha FGX800C! When you unwrap the cord for the first time you will find that it does not want to tangle and when you roll it back up the cord wraps are really handy. I feel that the sound quality/clarity is very good, with no unwanted interference or distortion from the cable. I think that’s because the quality of the cable itself as well as the jack ends is much higher than expected for a cable in this price range. Finally, I was very impressed that GLS reached out to me to ask about my purchase. I think it’s great when a company cares that much about its customers and I feel that it also reflects on the quality of their products. I highly recommend this cable!

I love these cables so much I replaced all my old cables with them

I don't know if its the best in the world, but it's pretty nice. The workmanship is outstanding. The connectors are top-notch: shiny, smooth, solid, and flawlessly manufactured. It transmits less hum than all my other cables. The thing that really surprised me, pleasantly, was the cable itself. I expected it to be stiff and a little rough, like my Fender braided cable, but it isn't. It's super flexible, and the fabric is soft to the touch. Pleasant, even. It doesn't snag on things, and the suppleness makes it more pleasurable to play because you can move around more, the cable just follows the player around better, and you can play in smaller places, like say, a jazz bar in some dingy, seedy part of town where the stage is the size of a trash-can lid. With it's retro-looks, those same seedy-jazz-bar patrons probably won't think to steal your cord either. Not that it looks cheap, it looks good, but it gaudy either. My one niggle on this one are the cable ties. It came with two, same as pictured, but they aren't attached to the cable itself in any way, they just wrap around it, inviting being lost from slipping off the end if you leave them wrapped around it when the cable isn't being wrapped up for storage or transport.

I needed to replace all of my long-time favorite cables, and I really did not know what to do as I am the type of person who carefully wraps and maintains cables, and has the habit of hanging onto equipment to a fault. Having said this, my existing cables were fairly ancient, and I decided that I needed to try something else. Well, I did the due diligence, and it seemed that GLS was offering quality cables at a very reasonable price point. I replaced all of my cables with GLS cables. I am ecstatic! The sound quality carried by the cables is constant and reliable. The cables are easy to wrap up and do not kink:) The only minor issue that I have is that the Velcro ties are not affixed to the cables and can easily be lost. Other than this, the cables are perfect!

I LOVE THESE CABLES!! First of all, let me say this: my thoughts on instrument cables used to be "Whatever, its a cable...." As I get older, I find even the little things, like the wire that carries your signal to your amps and effects matter, so I started spending ridiculous sums of money on cables, jacks and things like that. Then, I realized: I was buying this stuff to improve little smidgens of sound that I could only hear if I knew to listen for them. I stopped measurebating and started buying cables based on my needs and the value they provide. And, that's exactly what these GLS cables do for me: provide an excellent value for the dollars I invest in them. For $13.00, I get a genuine tweed wrapped instrument cable that I can step on, twist up, tie in knots and generally abuse and it just keeps right on trucking. I even ran over one of them (Several times one night) with our rolling amp/effects/mixer rack (something like 500#s loaded up) and, other than the scuff marks, you can't tell I ever even took the cable out of the package before that night. As for performance, stop wasting your money on audiphile gear for guitars man, if you need to be in a sound isolated room to hear the difference, I promise your audience doesn't have a clue whether you're playing this, or a $100 per foot guitar cable. Save your beer money, and buy yourself 2 or 3 of these babies and get back to playing guitar!!

Von Instrumenten- oder eher Gitarrenkabeln kann man nie genug haben, vor allem in verschiedenen Längen und Formen. Manchmal braucht man einen schnellen (vom Versand her) und günstigen Ersatz und da fand ich dieses Kabel und mit Amazon Prime war es schnell da. Die Qualität für den Preis ist sehr sehr gut und macht mit dem braided Kabel und dem sehr guten Kabelbruch und Knickschutz einen guten Eindruck. Meine Gitarre oder meine Effektpedale haben sich nicht beschwert. Die gelbe Farbe muss man mögen, aber meiner Meinung nach ist es langweilig, wenn Gitarrenkabel immer nur schwarz sind, also bringt etwas mehr Farbe ein bisschen mehr Freude ins Spielen! Absolute Kaufempfehlung
