I ordered this less then 24 hours ago and it is here already. This is not my first time using this product. I adopted a little chihuahua/ mini pin last March. By the middle of last summer it was pretty obvious he had a food allergy. He was always chewing his paws and rolling around to scratch his back. His vet recommended I start a chicken free diet. I did but did not see results. It takes about 6 weeks to get the food out of their system. Mean while, a friend told me she had tried this product and was really happy. I figured I would give it a shot. Turns out he was allergic to chicken but also some other things that I had been feeding him. I printed out the results and found a brand of food that was safe for him to eat. I have not had any problems since. Now my 11 month old dutch shepherd is chewing and scratching himself. I bought the test again for him so I can find the best adult dog food for him. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Worthless! *by J***Y on Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2015* My dog suffers from constant itching so I decided to order this because I wasn't getting anywhere trying to eliminate different foods from her diet over several months. Well the results came back and it said she was allergic to just about everything. I switched her to a different diet based on the results and I still had no luck. I decided to bite the bullet and take her into the vet to have the rather expensive allergy test where they draw blood. The results were completely different! She didn't have food allergies at all. She is allergic to mites! It also showed a couple of environmental (plant) allergies which are not native to this area. My advice is to not waste your money on this product - it's absolutely worthless. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars not sure about this now... *by K***D on Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2014* We ordered this for our 4 year old Shih Tzu who has very obvious allergies. He constantly licks and chews on his feet and legs and they are reddish in color (where they would normally be white). We bought him prescription food low in allergen inducing ingredients but it wasn't enough. A friend recommended this test because the vet wanted $500+ to do an allergy blood test.This one was very well priced. I was a little suspicious because of that and because they use saliva and hair (like a genetic test) so I wasn't sure if I could trust it or not, but for the price I decided to do it anyway. We also paid a little extra to get it rushed to us and they did get it to us on time.That said, I originally gave this a great review because it came back with a thorough take on all things food, environmental and chemical that he could be allergic to. We immediately changed his diet. The food he'd been on was a prescription vet food in which the protein source was Kangaroo. That was on the list as an allergen. But the list found that he was ok with chicken, eggs, beef and bison (admittedly a short list). So we found a new vet who prescribed a new food with chicken and NO grains (since he was allergic to mostly ALL grains and rice) and I even found organic treats that had no ingredients in them he was allergic to.It told us environmental and chemical allergies as well and we know he has those but controlling it will be a whole different problem. His allergies went down in the beginning but he was still licking and biting which I assumed was because of the environmental allergies. But I thought this would be worth it if we could take away some of his discomfort for the food part. For environmental, we try to keep the carpet vacuumed regularly and wash his bedding regularly because of dust but outside, I'm sure he's allergic to grasses and trees but there's not a lot we can do short of not taking him outside-which can't happen.His licking picked up again until his fur was dark red and dark brown, there were black spots on his skin, there were sores on his chest and under his arms, his ears were gooey and red, he was constantly itching, butt scooting, needing his anal glands done (part of the allergies). We took him to a new vet who found he had a bacterial infection, a yeast infection and an ear infection. He got antibiotics and we sprang for the blood test which was much less expensive from our new vet. The environmental has come back and it does not match the holistic results. There are at least 4 things that are allergens on the blood test that are not highlighted as allergens on the holistic test and he's allergic to our cat which was on the blood but not on the holistic test. We went ahead and ordered the food blood test at the additional expense (only a little more than the holistic) to see how different that is and I suspect it will be. I will update this when we get it in two weeks.Definitely disappointing. Do they guess? How accurate is it?
