Uncertain of the NSF results I pulled, I emailed the NSF and they got back to me in less than 24 hours. Per the NSF, the filter components are made in Tianjin, China. The label on the filter states that filter is "Made in the U.S. with globally sources components". I checked the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) website and there is no minimum parts requirement required to support the "Made in U.S. with globally sources components" statement. This filter is not Made in the USA. According to Wikipedia, GE Appliances is an appliance company headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky. I purchased a MWF filter and it was extremely difficult to get it installed and it was never seated properly (it leaked). When I take off and put back on my GWF filter, the GWF filter goes on nicely. The process from what i understand is different, MWF water is forced through the filter while zerowater is a slow drip process giving me a reading of (OOO) tds.
