I got this for a thesis I am doing on more sustainable herpetatium design. Not a lot on herpetariums, specifically, but this book dives into zoological buildings as an architectural typology, which was pivotal in my research. A ton of great info that you simply can't find online! Wonderful images and diagrams. Excellent case studies that you can research further. A breakdown beginning from history, to evolution, then getting into basic components of zoological design. It's fantastic. As a atchitectural designer looking to get into this specific field, it's invaluable.

Fascinating Manual for people involved in the field as well as those whom are not. ie: my father couldn't put it down.excellent book!
