Baden Deluxe Series Croquet Set 29 inch mallets

I liked our Amazon Basics Croquet set but a mallet broke & the wickets were flimsy. The grandkids beating in the scoring posts meant we were headed toward the posts being an issue too. So, I'm glad I purchased this Baden Deluxe Croquet set. The Deluxe set with 29 inch high mallet may be too small for someone taller, I choked up on a 33 inch mallet so it wasn't an issue. This set would be better if the storage bag was longer because who wants to screw on & off the mallet heads every time you use it & store it. The wickets are durable so far. I'll probably epoxy the mallet heads onto the sticks. I like this Deluxe set and may purchase the Baden Champions set too.

My wife has Rheumatoid arthritis and the soft cushioned handles make it easier to hold the mallet. Overall construction is great, the brass male/femele connectors are smart and well designed.We love it, for the $, can't go wrong.

I love this set, the mallets are top of the line and we really put them through the paces. We play what we call "ultimate croquet" where we play up and down hills, through water and even down and back on a dock. I have had no issues with the mallets, unfortunately not every ball floated but I am guessing that is not too helpful for most. Only downside is that the balls will not hold up if you play in frozen conditions. Winter croquet is pretty fun however.

I've owned this set for a long time and one of the mallets broke, due to a kid smacking a tree. So bought this set again. Wood seems to be same quality but looks like they packaged it while the paint was still wet. Each handle has some paint that stuck to another one. Also the blue and black are ALMOST the same color, so hard to distinguish l. But overall the main this is the wood is not cheap feeling.

Researched quite a few sets and read numerous reviews. Wanted a decent set at an affordable price, especially since we are not regulation or even regular players--strictly recreational fun. Mallet heads are good solid wood pieces--no rubber ends to split or come off. So far, having lots of fun this summer. Good set and very affordable.

Junk quality, had a mallet break on the first swing. Not worth the money, cheap, low quality product sold for a premium.

This is a very nice set compared to others. The screws that attach the handles to the mallet are metal and make for a very sturdy connection. The wickets are steel and not an aluminum therefore they do not bend when accidentally hit. Well worth the price paid.

Just unboxed and it seems to be of good quality; however, I received two red handles and no yellow handles. I don't want to go through the process of returning the entire set as I want to start using it so, unfortunately, I think I am going to have to settle for what I got.
